I just play a set of the pure color picture files repeatly (I download it from the web). Everyday is about 22 hours plus... The rest of the 1 hour plus is watching video, play around with the setting..... ya, i did off the tv for may be 1 hrs (max) some day.. Not because the TV is required to take a break, it is because my daughter KACAU, so off it

btw, i want to buy additional 3D Glasses , any suggestion where to get at cheaper price ? from what i know , it is around RM130 for PWP (Purchase with Purchase) price... But if it is not PWP price, i think it is around RM399 ?? Very the expensive if this is the case...

Just came bavk from senq leisure mall. Bought the ST50 for rm3199 with 2x 3d glass n 1xhdmi cable i also asked the SA n she said that it cost rm150 each for any additional 3d glass.

That's a good deal. I bought the P50ST50K for RM3399 just before someone posted the SenQ deal.

Happy with the set so far. The black level improves a lot as compared to my 1-year old P50U30K.

Now undergoing burning-in.

I wonder if I am the unlucky one.

I purchased ST50 from Aeon member day sales happily after reading so good review about the unit.

But unfortunately the nightmare begin....

The unit has some Dirty Screen Effect (DSE), which I discover during break in period. though quite mild but is noticeable.

Call Aeon for exchange (actually they allow to refund too). I think of asking refund too but thought my luck won't be that bad, so I take the bet.

The 2nd unit came and i notice this unit was even worse than the first unit. about 40% of the screen is full of DSE.

Beside this, the unit is so easily to get "burn mark" even though i had completed 200 hours of break-in. Just less than 10 minutes of staying in a channel, you will discover the burn mark such as "HDMI" stays. Though this can be wipe away by using the scrolling bar, but it really upset me. Don't tell me the user has to run this process every now and then...

Call the panasonic to complain...

The engineer who came said this is normal as the ST50's constrast is too high at 5,000,000:1. Oh...my God.

I can sense why the price is dropping drastically.

Thought I can get better unit for ST by topping up few hundred ringgit instead of getting UT, now I really really regret...

Yeah, the 1-year old one is last year's U Series.

I got married recently so I gave the P50U to my parents, since I live with them previously when I bought the P50U.

That's the reason I need to get a new one. Original plan was to get P65ST but thinking about the need of buying new furniture, fridge, washing machine, wardrobe, bed etc so I think it's better for me to settle with P50ST first

Other difference? I haven't calibrate it yet. Only set to True Cinema mode and set the brightness a little bit lower during breaking-in period. Anyway, some other things that I notice:

a) The bezel is slimmer.
b) Less reflection of the glass. Noticeably no double image when I look it from extreme angle.
c) "Motion Smooth". Turn this on and image movement will be fluid like those LED TV but I don't like it. Movement looks fake, I'd rather turning it off. Personal preference.
d) More options to calibration menu. A big diff since it's a class higher than U series.
e) 3D. I don't really bother
f) Viera Connect. I haven't try this yet. Unifi people will come next Monday.

That's abt it I think. Any other stuff I should discover in the future. Still learning though
