I heard from Ali that CTL might not happen so soon due to low reception.

tk: u might want to try stepping into your shot to generate pace and depth instead of always relying on opponent's power, and more body turn!

I duno ur weakness TK but now I know since you keep highlighting it here.
Hahahaha........

Stepping in yeah, theoretically is good but to execute other than what we are used to is difficult.
Really need practice to change our current styles.

Its good to see you guys analysing your own game, and trying to find solution to beat your opponents.....you may not have all the right weapons, just use what is your strength and use it to exploit your opponents weakness. Wishing you guys the best!

Tips on how to beat this player is not easy ..........these type of players are called 'pushers'....normally many people look down on these type of players....but to me, these guys are real fighters with very unorthodox hitting or styles, yet they somehow manage to beat people with better looking strokes...the one thing most pushers have in common is iron man fitness, they are prepared to run all day and all night.....they will drop shot, lob, chicken chop the ball anything to throw you off your game.
To win against these players is to play with them and try and learn when to hit a aggressive shot and when to just keep the ball in play......you MUST have good strokes with solid foundation...in order to beat these guys, its also good if you hit a offensive shot and go to the net and try to win the point at the net.

Seems like this year Thailand Open players also so so.
They have Murray, Monfils and Simon.

These 3 doesn't have the most exciting games I'd say.
Prefer the Malaysian Open players like Almagro, Troicki, Tipsarevic, Davydenko.
Nicer games for viewing.

Added on September 27, 2011, 12:02 pmWalao, Donnay's racquet line is becoming bigger.
Now having the X-P line.
Hehehehe..... such big selection price need to drop la.

a pusher means that person doesn't kill the ball and feeds off your errors. If a person can rally back and kill you, I don't think that's a pusher even though he hits a lot of dinky shots.

A pusher would mean that even when it's clearly a kill ball, he still dinks the ball back waiting for you to commit the error. A person who can dink and kill balls is not a pusher. He's just good at effing your game up.

Placement and patience is important. DO not feel obligated to kill the ball because you know he's not going to hit a darn good shot back anyway. Make sure you're 100% good for the kill and then hit the winner. If that doesn't work and he gets the ball back, then you'll have to wait for another opening again. I saw a video in FYB once saying that we should take the ball early since pushers don't whack the balls and dinky shots can be taken slightly earlier. However, for lesser players, taking the ball earlier can be a game ending error-stricken problem.

Rally it out with them first, get an opener and make the kill, he hits it back, then play it out first. Never get impatient. I recently played against one such player in the Sabah Games. He was extremely good in hitting lobs and covering the back court. Towards the middle of the 1st set, I dropped the balls, hit the ball with less pace (i don't mind cause he's just gonna slice it back anyway, so I don't fear him killing me), and make sure that I go for the kill only when he's really off balanced. Being a good retriever, he does get back some 'what I thought were point ending shots' and I just had to keep the rally going until there was another opening.

Reduce pace, placing is top priority and PATIENCE will win the game.

Try not to follow and hit dink shots cause that is HIS GAME. Just hit with less pace to avoid unforced errors. Don't end up dinking shots too.
