Added on September 21, 2011, 11:22 amPeople who are using x-touch or x-treme i recommend you delete undervolt and ocdaemon script and use setcpu.

The freezes you get especially if you flash siyah kernel is because the undevolt script does not have 8 voltage steps to match siyah kernel 8 cpu speed and will cause your device to freeze. This is also true for other rom that uses uv script such as batista.

Setcpu automatically compensate any additional new cpu speed so you will never get freezes.
*
where to find that script?

system/etc/init.d
delete ocdaemon and undervolt. X-treme got 2 undervolt script so please delete both

If you have a folder called virtuous_oc inside system/etc, delete that whole folder also.

These scripts and folder do the same function as setcpu.

IMPORTANT: Delete the scripts and folders and reboot. DO NOT do any setting with setcpu until AFTER you reboot.
*
can i at least do a backup of it? just in case anything goes horribly wrong

Sure always do backup. If you don't want to delete also can. Just move those files and folders to your sd.
*

If you use setcpu any kernel also can. But do this after deleting the UV scripts. Ninpo got 7 cpu steps and siyah 8 steps. This can really mess things up. sweat.gif
*
oh ok so i'll use ninpo awhile, see if still give me prob or not. lucky i haven deleted them yet sweat.gif shud i delete the virtuous oc folder?

If you are using setcpu to control cpu and uv, you do not need UV scripts and the virtuous_oc folder.
*
i just flash to siyahkernel now, in the init.d folder, theres no undervolt file, only got 74-ocdaemon. could it be cause i froze the daemon controller in titanium backup?

My bad, Just check back rom files for x-treme. No UV scripts. Then why are you having freezes?  hmm.gif
hmm.gif could be cause i underclock too much? last night i underclocked it to 800mhz max, i think that could be the cause. i think i'll just see if still have this issues or not

When using siyah kernel got 100mhz. Don't use it cos still unstable. Aiyah no need underclock to 800, like buying ferrari to drive at 60kph.

Edit: Actually I would still recommend you remove the virtuous_oc folder and use setcpu. Never had problem with setcpu.

I cant, when i try to delete it in root explorer, it says it cant be deleted as it is read-only
