I think the best China play is still the US companies doing business there.. eg. the gaming companies like LVS, WYNN, MGM (or pure Macau play: MPEL). Seems to be doing pretty good. Chinese loves to gamble.

Genting - the bad thing about this company is that they got the other businesses dragging it down, not pure gaming anymore.

Also, Genting with RWS is catering more towards the uncle/aunties gambling $1/$2.. wherease MBS (owned by LVS) is catering for
high end VIPs gambling in stacks of $100 bills.

Japan financial market getting severely beaten up again.. I guess what happens is when it was so overbought,
the last bull all in, that's when they all look at each other and turned into bears.

Maybe Samsung fanboys jacking AAPL fanboys.

Anyway, SP500 1625 is the ceiling to watch. If bulls can ramp thru, then more upside otherwise,... like to see it down to 1605 level before trap door opens to waterfall scenery.

Stealth rally from the low after open, 1610,

See that soft ceiling: 1620-1625, after busted, then it's all rocket fuel!
1640-1645 next resistance level.

The problem is QE actually hasn't end nor has it tapered off. The market just anticipates that it "maybe" tapered off after Bernanke said that Fed "may" reduce buying last month if employment improves, that sent the market in panic, interest rate spike, bonds sold off, bulls became bears and everybody suddenly saying QE has ended..

Imagine, if Fed announces QE really ending. maybe we'll see quick KABOOM.

The funds will probably hoard cash and ready for another buy later if economy back to normal and healthy again.

Overnight, market really strong bullish close. But, I don't like this rally.

Anyway, the whisper of a very remote 'tapering' spooks the market just barely about two weeks ago,
I mean, this is just talk only. No action yet by the Fed. You see how the market just reacts?

We're not even talking about ending QE, this is just their way to test the water and see if the economy is healthy
again and the Fed wants to reduce buying from $85bln to $75bln.. and just because this whisper only.
Even if interest rate rise (the Fed fund rate now at 0%), just it just 0.5% at most and that most likely won't happen until 2015 or later.

Everyone is fearing oh no, QE is ending, they going to raise interest rate tomorrow, stocks will tank and market will crash.

Then, now bulls are ecstatic again , it was just a bunch of talk, no action yet until we'll get more clearer picture from Superman_Bernanke next week.

Oh well, I just wish we got more pull back.. this isn't even a 10% correction.

Yes.. . but have you notice that Brent Oil price coming down but WTI Oil going up these past few months?
The spread is narrowing finally, sooner or later, they may cross each other.

US imports less foreign oil now. More local production and consumption. Watch transportation stocks.. I think they're going to earn less in the coming quarter.

Err.. nope. You can't send Oil via FDX.

I thinking more like railroads than package delivery companies.
eg. CSX, CNI, CP...

Tonight, market continues upward with anticipation that Uncle Ben may help the market by Wednesday.

The meeting starts tonight, the press conference starts tomorrow. If there is anything to do, position yourself before the press conference.

Overnight, the market was freaking out when some bloke from Financial Times published that "Fed likely to signal tapering move".. immediately Dow lost 150 pts from the top the last two hours before closing. Then, he re-tweeted.. "people just needs to chill out, the Fed does not leak out anything".. then Dow gained back 50 pts. Insane, huh? This is a very news driven market.

Market is cautious here.. FOMC meeting underway, probably won't see big move until Uncle Ben appears tomorrow.
But, any leaky news could cause a knee jerk reaction from the market.

Uncle Ben says "BUY", so be it! I'm in!
