dmc, the bull is back so fast? I tot the bear is controlling for the past few days?
*
IMO, Bear hasn't really come out and play in full force yet, just peeks its head and look around only.

I'm waiting for Sp500 to go below 1640 but it doesn't want to. Gone back above 1650 again.
But, bear seems to be attacking emerging market rather than US market. doh.gif

emerging market you mean China and India?
*
yes, including Taiwan, S.Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Latin American, etc...

Seems like for every time there is a -1% fall in US market, it follows by another -2% in emerging market,
when US market bounce 1%, emerging market bounce 0.5%.

So, the funds back filling the US market gap with the money out from emerging market area.

They're anticipating US Fed will taper its bond buying program, therefore less liquidity, stronger dollar, so
they're taking it out from elsewhere and feeding it back into US to earn more interests with better and stronger earnings.

The Sp500 companies earnings been pretty strong..this half year, SP500 already gone more than 15%, that's more
than the last full two years.

Taper or no taper, they're investing in US stocks. But they are tapering off elsewhere. The big boys are in control.. nod.gif

I'm hearing chatter rumor that the overnight glitch at Nasdaq may be caused by hacking.
Hopefully, hackers won't break the system. sweat.gif

*
I'm out of my GMCR 85.50 again tonight (round two). That's good enough for me this week.
Wait for dips and buy again. The floor is rising to 83 now.

On other tidbits...
MSFT spiked 7%+ after Ballmer announced he'll be retiring soon.
Investors are eager for him to leave.... biggrin.gif

AAPL - rock solid support at 495-500, seems good. Looking to sell PUTs at 495/490 for this week. biggrin.gif

Fagbook stil in bull mode.

Yes, apparently once a bear stock got into bull mode, it will go on for quite some time.

Take a look at QIHU. Remember this one? I said speculative play back in June, short term price target 49.
Fast forward two months... bam! rocket to moon already.. still going up. doh.gif

If Syrian war erupts, GLD will shoot up and most equity will fall?

It will be interesting to see if this holds true or not.

Get ready and get some cash ready for some big shopping. nod.gif

War on Syria will be like Libya i.e. limited and short lived. Believe there are more oil production than demand, any spike in oil price will only be temporary.
*
If you believe that, you can Sell/Short into the rally and buy the dips for equity.
When they decided not to strike (or postpone), the market will rally, oil/gold/usd will fall.

I like to see if there is straddle play here for either side. brows.gif

US now got no support. UK bailed. France also thinking about bailing. US Congress pissed at Obama.
I think Obama wants to bluff Syria but Assad not caving it. Difficult to proceed.

I'm staying in cash and off tonight .No trading for long holiday weekend.

because china is booming.  laugh.gif
but there is rumors saying China government got thinking of opening casinos in mainland itself.  hmm.gif
*
Well.. if this is true. LVS (and others) could tank because the crowd in Macau could go away if mainland folks decided stay in Mainland instead of traveling to Macau to gamble. I don't think Macau govt will like that very much and most likely they'll try to cozy up the Beijing to continue to let Macau prosper by having only the exclusive
gambling zone.

Macau government recently talked to the reporters regarding this concern. They said they will try to make Macau more "dynamic", making it a entertainment zone instead of only casino. The one they mentioned was "bring in more shows". Perhaps, in  Macau can watch nude shows, in China boo ke yee.  tongue.gif
*
Really aah? drool.gif

If that's true.. no need to go to Las Vegas anymore for nudie shows, just hop on plane to Macau. laugh.gif

Also, in addition to entertainment, if Macau can focus more on "business events", it can continue to prosper too.
I'm sure a lot of business meetings can be conducted in Macau too..
Then, I have excuses to go here.. myself. brows.gif

more surprisingly, believed to be 5C as main contributor.  brows.gif

No.. it seems that they sold out the 5s than 5c. I guess less people wants cheap plastic phone than the premium ones.
Obviously, AAPL fans want the real thing. thumbup.gif

Let see how the China users react later when it's launch later. Maybe the 5c will entice them.
