QUOTE(zamans98 @ Aug 6 2013, 05:38 AM) Fagbook still very strong, daily up 50-80cts on average. Today saw MU running over 14$, what? haha, was my favourite, before I left US trading and concentrating in Malaysia's market IPO. FB now in uncharted territory.. it looks it wants to fly to the moon. MU - I remembered you chatted about this one - heh-heh. But, glass ceiling still at 15. Need to burst through that at 15 number, it will be interesting!

QUOTE(zamans98 @ Aug 7 2013, 12:20 AM) Great, just noticed that my balance in MBTrading is going down by almost 1000$. Found out that my account is being debited for US TAX ??? That is absurd 28%. Checking with HelpDesk, still no answer until now. Found that its because of Facebook. Oh my. No FB from now on! 28.0% BACKUP WITHHOLDING - GP CUSIP: 30303M102 Weird.. they should not withold you. Did you have your W8BEN on file with MBTrading? This post has been edited by danmooncake: Aug 8 2013, 10:08 AM

QUOTE(tony78 @ Aug 12 2013, 05:14 PM) May I know whether we can fund our account in MBTrading through bank wire / TT? Is there any charge from the US bank side for deposit and withdrawal? Thks ! I don't know about others but I can wire straight via TT or send them a cheque. Sending cheque is cheapest of course but slowest to clear. If you're not in hurry to trade, just send them a cheque (in USD) to fund your account. Some broker may charge you a fee to withdraw via TT but usually it is free if you ask for a cheque. I hardly have the need withdraw unless I want to move my funds around.

QUOTE(yok70 @ Aug 13 2013, 07:43 PM) whole world market bullish. do they really digest QE exit so fast? do you think this could be the last leg before massive sell down for QE tapering? Dunno man, a lot of indecision of what the Fed will do. Just guessing game now until it happens. Then again, it may or may happen in Sept (next month).

Whoa! AAPL spiking up nicely to +15 (from 475) to 489...this is faster than I expected. Looks like Icahn pumping it! This post has been edited by danmooncake: Aug 14 2013, 03:18 AM

QUOTE(yok70 @ Aug 14 2013, 03:58 AM) 500 soon.... Yup! Stay long.. look at the volume. It's free from the grasp of the moving average. This is what Carl Icahn's tweet has done: AAPL Sep 2013 500.000 call 8.30 Up 6.60 ( 388.24%) This post has been edited by danmooncake: Aug 14 2013, 07:08 AM

QUOTE(yok70 @ Aug 14 2013, 10:16 PM) congrats! and i'm holding mine, i invested. plan to top up on correction. Well, if you're playing the commons, then you got all the time in the world. Options are time sensitive and directional, so, I have to take advantage of that once the target is met. I'll look for the pull back to play again. QUOTE(yok70 @ Aug 15 2013, 12:34 AM) Apple cross 500. Next target, 800. Don't jinx it yet. Lots of resistance between here and the last known high: 688 (this is when iPhone 5 was released) By the way, where's our fav AAPL fan? I think he should turn up now. Hopefully, he manages to recover his calls spread after this big roller coaster ride.

QUOTE(yok70 @ Aug 15 2013, 01:06 AM) I doubt he managed to deal with that long draggy drop. He was so over-optimistic that time, I hope he didn't get loan to buy shares. I hope he turns up.. I don't really wish anybody to lose money whether they're bull or bear. You're correct. One cannot be overly optimistic over a stock whether it is AAPL or any company. This market is vicious and at anytime it can turn around and bite you and teach you a hard lesson. I learned my during the dot com bubble days.. Just need to be discipline and follow the trend. QUOTE(yok70 @ Aug 15 2013, 01:25 AM) dot com bubble must be damn painful! Now i like apple because it's cheap, cash rich, strong cash flow, still super strong and unique brand even after 2 to 3 years of non-event. When it finally decided to pay back some of its cash to the shareholders, I think it's time to buy. When it was 700, it's not that cheap if without strong growth, which is uncertain since being attacked by Samsung fiercely. In fact, my US friend who doesn't concern on Economic news actually have no idea Apple was being attacked by Samsung. He thinks iphone5 was good, he has no desire for a big screen phone. However, I may sell it if it gets expensive without clear growth path. Yes..it was. I lost everything and goes back to zero. But, got everything back by housing bubble/crisis '08-'09 (don't be afraid to ride the BEAR! Growl!)

Waah.. here comes the pull back. Everything 'ang' 'ang' (red red) tonight! WMT (big retailer) missed earnings (Dow component) CSCO (big tech) also missed earnings, weak guidance - placing blame EM for slowdown in business. CAT (machinery) pulling back as well - part of Dow component Eventho with better initial claims, futures are selling off. Ready for some shopping?
