Hi ppl..

May you guys help me out in choosing my next laptop.

1. Any brand that gives good service and reliable product. Asus, hp, lenovo probably? I dont know

2. Nothing to do with programming or CAD just to do word/excel or sometimes a little bit gaming eg. Condition zero and football manager. Watching movies will do too. more important does not produce heat that much especially at palm rest.

3. Budget should more or less rm2500.

4. Preferred size 13"

Thanks guy
*
at your requirement, this would do Dell Vostro 3350, i5-2430M + AMD HD6490@RM2636[2.04kg], W7HB, backlit keyboard, Belkin HDMI cable, Belkin Radius 15.6" Backpack

if 14" then, there will be a lots... brows.gif but bigger is better in terms of heat management... nod.gif

dont take n45sf.. better take n55sf... because n45 as quoted " updating the BIOS alone won't stop games from lagging. However, BIOS update + disabling Turbo Boost will ensure smoothness, so I guess the problem is partially solved" biggrin.gif

better dun take out the hdd as external... dangerous.. jz in case anything happen..

other place than lowyat gt?? if not trust there, try other place. i'm not from KL sweat.gif jz go there for vacation sometimes only... how bout shop inside time square there? there's a lot...

anyway my lappy now edy can not display anything, on power just can hear sound, then keep restarting itself, the com shop told me if happen again means the board can not tahan any more sad.gif not worth to repair 2nd time, cuz if change the chip again need around rm 400 quite expensive oso de... so i just thought rather than the harddisk sit inside i also can not take out the data, if possible i just want to copy things over so i dun nid to prepare all the work all over again cry.gif

Asus i not sure got official shop like sony or not, just know service centre at imbi, but dunnoe if it actually selling...

You might want to have a look at Lenovo G470 too.
Intel i5-2410M + Intel HD3000 + 2GB DDR3 RAM @ ~RM1800 (recent price drop, not sure about the price)

Not sure about A8 but A6 has a much higher battery consumption in idle (about ~22W) compared to my laptop (~10W) but the graphic performance is absolutely great (for internal graphics) shocking.gif
I have to say that it's great thumbup.gif

Hi, I'd like some suggestions and advice.

1. Preferred Brand - Good service, reliable, Asus, Dell.
2. Budget - Around RM2K
3. Usage - Mobility, entertainment. I rarely play games but I'd like to be able to play when I want to on a HD screen. I'll connect it to a external monitor at home.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - No preference.

Thinking of replacing my desktop AMD Phenom X4 + 6850 for a laptop but I'm kinda doubtful. Currently I'm travelling to and fro uni a lot and so my desktop is left alone sometimes not running also.
When I do use it other than work, it's for web browsing and watch some drama. Kinda wasted..

For i 7 with 900 p display, roughly over 3.2k :-)
