They're all the similar, just different brandings and design preference only.. Acer is always the cheapest for its specs offered..

Hi everyone, i have copy this from the catalog thread as suggested by AmeiN smile.gif There are some questions that i would like to clarified regarding the 2 laptops below:

QUOTE(pandah @ Oct 12 2011, 08:05 AM)

For A43TA, AMD A6-3400M + AMD HD6720 G2@RM1899

Can i ask AMD 6720 G2 is comparable to Nvidia which card? 540m? has the driver issue of the amd dual card been solved?

The is another model A43Sa-VX011v, i5-2410M + AMD HD6730@RM2499, the 6720 G2 differs greatly from the 6730? 6730 is comparable to which card? do you think the difference in RM 600 is worth?

and NP8130, i5-2410QM + Nvidia GTX560M + (1920x1080)@RM4099, FreeDOS [CPU Options: i5-2410M - i7-2860QM], wow 560m at 4.1k  drool.gif
actually i am coming back here cause last nite my 5 years old lappy display chip snapped again and gave me lines and lines and lines when starting up, previously changed the chip once, the shop told me if spoiled again not worth to repair anymore, won't last long... cry.gif

miraculously, it is back to normal now! god, i hope it can tahan for some more time, many important work inside  sweat.gif

may be it was overheated or something, but since the symptoms are appearing, in case it really have to retire, i am here to see if any unit that i should get  sweat.gif

Previously bought the toshiba l745 for my sister, quite a good one i should say, for this one i am traveling with lappy a lot and do play games so i am looking at probably 14' with a good card. thanks for helping and reading the long text  notworthy.gif

I would probably like it to be 2-2.5k, 14' or 15' is ok, usual MS work, online game, some pc game, torrenting sometimes, alot traveling (need to bring to work place also at times). notworthy.gif

TimelineX 4830TG, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M@RM2499[2.2kg] >>> bat can last for 6-7 hours

Asus
A43Sa-VX011v, i5-2410M + AMD HD6730@RM2499
A43Sv, i5-2430M + Nvidia GT540M(1GB)@RM2349[2.44kg]
A43Sv, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M(2GB)@RM2499[2.44kg]

Dell Inspiron 14R (N4110), i5-2410M + AMD HD6630@RM2299, 4GB, 500GB, *Big Giant Plaid!Lid

thank biggrin.gif

460 is better compare to the 560 you mean?

quite a high end card there i see.

since they are all using a 540m, except A43SA, the extra price comes from the harddisk and ram?

is the processor 2430 better than the 2410? i am guessing not much notable differences?

so the 6720 G2 is not so good for gaming right?

Hi ppl..

May you guys help me out in choosing my next laptop.

1. Any brand that gives good service and reliable product. Asus, hp, lenovo probably? I dont know

2. Nothing to do with programming or CAD just to do word/excel or sometimes a little bit gaming eg. Condition zero and football manager. Watching movies will do too. more important does not produce heat that much especially at palm rest.

3. Budget should more or less rm2500.

4. Preferred size 13"

Thanks guy
