Hi guys, I am looking for a new laptop now as my current Toshiba is dying. The models I am interested are as followed:

> Dell XPS 14z;
> Sony Vaio VPCSB38GG/S;
> Apple Macbook Pro 13-inch
> Toshiba Portege R830

I travel a lot for overseas assignment but seldom play games. Any idea which laptop should I purchase? hmm.gif

Ermmm guys , what's the difference between the Asus N55SF-SX352V and the np8130 ? Is the graphics card in the Sager better ?
Overall if I upgrade the np8130 to a i7 processor then , then the Sager would be a better buy compared to the g53 ?
Thanks guys smile.gif

+1, and its not just model quality...
Certain models have known issues one e.g. Satellite M500 and N45sf (GPU issues)... doing a little bit of research on your potential laptop will help avoid these type of problems nod.gif

My vote goes to the Portege R830 as it comes with 3 years international warranty, and its very, very light without sacrificing performance thumbup.gif

If you're assignments only involves normal office work, the MacBookAir/ Ultrabooks would be a nice choices as well

Thanks!

I went to the Shop juz now.. i saw Acer not bad.

but the ASUS shop boss offers me a Demo spec of A43TA, he gives me RM300 discount. After discount RM1499.

I dun know wat is AMD processor. He said this laptop is good for Gaming. The performance is as good as I5. Is it true?

Should i consider it? As my previous post, i need this laptop for normal gaming (dota) and most of the time for Internet (FB).

No, the performance out of the box is not as good as i5. laugh.gif Only after u overclock it the performance will get close to i5.
But it is good for gaming tho.. @RM1.5K it is quite a bargain.
