Don't have to worry. I've rooted and flashed a custom ROM. But before I sent in my phone, I flashed back stock ROM + stock kernel, but the flash counter in download mode is still >0 as I didn't use the USB jig. There is no problem claiming warranty at all.

hahaha i'm thinking the same, what's the monitor screen resolution when we use such spec on pc? what program can't run on it?
i wish future phone focus on better graphic processor and battery, at least that make different than overkill processor and ram.

thanks for the feedback. meaning as long i didnt flash custom firmware, there should be no problem at all.. Thanks again. i gather more info for rooting then will start it..

forgot one thing, do u unroot ur device?

in new user too. add me to userlist if possible.

Hi uncle benny, i face problem when rooting. I follow the steps in page 1 "Rooting using SuperOneClick Long guide (for beginners)"
I have done the Odin flash kernel and the device reboot. But when i launch the SuperOneClick and press root button, a dialog box to download 3 files (i remember one of them is CWM 4.0.0.2 recovery) will be prompted to download, after that the Odin launched automatically, and i found the SuperOneClick appear below message:

Rooting device... - Step #1
Odin files could not be set!
FAILED

Could you advice what should i done the next? I still connecting the USB cable with the phone. Thank you

I know I am going to get the heat on this one - but maybe just maybe - I might be lucky -

Am looking for anyone who has or know someone who has a Galaxy S and want to sell it in return to get a S2 - I want to get one

So please dont flame me ok? Just trying my luck

BTW I am keeping my S2 (its my other half who wants to get the S)

Why would anyone want to sell their SGSII for SGS.?
SGSII beat SGS handown in every dept except sound.
Or you can try your luck better at Official SGS thread :-)

Better buy 2nd hand SGS rather than sell the SGSII.
Can get below RM1K for 2nd hand SGS nowdays

Anyone successfully used the CISCO AnyConnect VPN? How the hell do you install the certificate? Trying to use my S2 to connect to the office network...

Hi...What is d latest stock firmware for SGS2?

I set to use my live wallpaper which install from android market, but why it'll turn to b normal wallpaper after everytime reboot? Any solution for this?

I mean the sound quality :-P
Although Yamaha suppose to be more superior than Wolfson, it's not in SGSII case. Something wrong in the sound setup. If only Yamaha open up it source code then maybe somebody (vodoo) can fix it.
You can compare yourself the sound quality by listening both phone side by side. You will find it is differ miles apart.

i'm using casemate. was using some china brand one which was making it a bit wider which is a real bummer cause it it already quite broad at 4.3 inches of screen space

SGP Neo Hybrid and very satisfied with it. It was not a very tight fit initially, but I've put a piece of paper behind the phone and a few small chunks at the edges, and now its a nice snug fit smile.gif

Neo hybrid has the best look of all the cases available though, IMO. Plus ultra crystal bundled is just great
