QUOTE(paskal @ Sep 3 2011, 04:22 PM) hard to believe but considering that the S2 would be priced as their flagship, the note couldn't have a higher pricetag than the flagship. SGSII is currently priced at RM2099, if it is priced lower than SGSII, then it might cannibalize SGSII, this Note is similar to SGSII in almost anything except it is using 1st gen S-AMOLED. So its really tough to give this phone-tab hybrid an appropriate price without killing the other siblingsand since the tab 8.9 would also support voice call, the note would hopefully be priced lower than the tab 8.9 nothing is certain for now. but don't think it'd be priced over RM2.5k like benny said. |

Now The Samsung Galaxy Note Its On Android 2.3 Anyhow Will It Have Updates To Android Honeycomb ?????
I Would Sell Of My 3 Dell Streak Unit For Getting This Monster Phone Once It Reach Malaysia And Will Compare The Galaxy Note With My HTC Flyer. Uncle Benny Have Same Thought With Me And He Like Big Screen Phone Same Like Me But For Some Other People Cant Fit In Big Phone To Pocket So My Recommendations Is Buy The Galaxy Note And Buy A Nokia RM 10 The Black And White Phone So Galaxy Note Can Keep In Bag For Other Usage And The Nokia Phone For Calls. Why I Recommend This Is Because Now Many People Outside Eye On Other People Phone And It Some How The Phone Is Better Like Samsung , HTC Or Appla IPhone 4 The Risk Of Get Robbed Is Higher. I totally would want to buy this.If I were Samsung, wait for Ice Cream Sandwich= A lot of iPhone users would port over for this phone. And the design is clean.Like how the camera is at the back.Neat!

The 2.4 icecream more or less just the same only after I see many comments and feedback on the internet throught pass few hour ago. ICS is supposed to be a major update for Android, after all its the update that merge both Honeycomb and GB into one OS, hence most people address it as 4.0 instead of the 2.4 from the "many other comments and feedbacks" you saw. there was a leak of ICS image, but most have pointed out that its fake and although nothing is confirmed, IMO the leaked images aren't the final version yet (if they're even real) the OS isn't even out yet, so don't judge too soon. Also, Galaxy Note is primarily a phone (based on the design), thus I don't think its going to get any kind of Honeycomb update. |

although it big + big 5.3 inch HD Super AMOLED look like ala2 tablet more than a phone, its is a phone and well honeycomb is design for tablet not phone, so i dont think anybody gonna port honeycomb to Note.Beside, ICS gonna release soon, just wait for it, ICS gonna feature alien+future like UI

honestly, it's the FIRST android device that really caught my attention.
big, a smartphone, clear screen and fast. just want to ask you guys, it runs on gingerbread. and for sure it has some options to enlarge the fonts. since i'm considering buying this NOTE for my dad. as for now, i can conclude he had visual impaired. so currently he'd been using some old nokia classic model, but that phone has a very large font option. i played with symbian^3, froyo and iOS 3.x, none of them had option for large font(atleast larger) like this Series S40 old nokia. so with 5.3" screen, i'm hoping it can show some large fonts, not compressing too many stuffs inside that screen. like sgs2, i don't prefer it very much. although it's big, too many stuffs been compressed on the screen. don't like it very much. or is the resolution can be lowered, so the fonts looks larger? maybe you guys feel abit weird why fonts are a major concern for me, but to some unfortunate people in this world, its an important matter in deciding which device to buy. to replace this aging old phone that some of its features cannot been beaten by many advanced devices nowadays. |

Q1 2012 is UK, not worldwide, so wait abit, maybe it will release sooner in asia? who know.It should be equipped with ICS if 2012 is the release date but why still gingerbread?
