Perhaps it is the explosive for the airbag that caused fire.

My 3 yr old Laza starts having loud engine noise. Should I pour some oil treatment to flush it or...???

Hi all.

I just bought a brand new Alza last 2 weeks.

Just wondering, if Perodua claims that Alza auto fuel usage is 12.7km/l

Then why did the RANGE only shows 433 km after I filled up the 42l tank so fully until melimpah?

Can anyone answer me?

Thank you.

Perodua CLAIMS 12.7km/l... I averaged 12.33km/l which is quite good considering I'm a heavy footer all year round... Like uncle n8210 said, drive another month... And ignore that speedo range, even my reading of 12.33km/l is not taken from there... If you're on iOS or Android, get a fuel tracker app and let it do all the calculations for you...

Thanks.. But actually what is the value of RANGE that u all get when fill the tank full?

Mind to share?

Is is true it will show difference if I fill up with RON95/RON97? How would the sensor detect the difference?

Thank you.

I expect it will show 533 KM as RANGE when it is full..

Coz the tank is 42 liter. Then average fuel usage 12.7 km/liter..

Meaning 12.7km/l*42l= 533.4 km right?

Hehe..

my alza...for city driving....according to the speedo range, full tank only around 350-400....very light foot driving because daily distance is from school to house around 10 km...and the driver is a girl...

if highway driving, only around 400-450....

so, can i sue alza for 12.7km/l claim?

anyway, when i picked up the car, the RANGE shows about 358 KM and the ODO is 30KM.

so meaning when the guy filled up the tank, he only fill until 388KM RANGE only.

But when I first fill, i fill until no more fuel could go inside, so the RANGE shows 433KM all the way to my office that is 40km away.

While im going back it still shows 433KM until halfway.

Then I noticed if I at parking and turned on the aircond for 10 minutes, the RANGE would simply drop another 2KM sad.gif

city driving more stop/brake while highway less stop/brake.....so, highway driving consumes less petrol than city driving

my alza never meet the reading shown in RANGE....and it is impossible to reach the reading...

when fill in full tank, it might shown 450 km in RANGE, but actual only can reach around 350-380 km....

Range from 480km to 515km for me... But I don't give a damn about that... It is not accurate... That just gives you an estimate...

RON95/97 will not make a dent on the Range meter...

Why calculated from an estimated range and a reserve tank filled with unused fuel...? It does not reflect the way you drive, hence the actual amount of fuel used or the actual distance travelled...

I use this...

I just need to key in mileage, and how much I've refueled, the rest are automatically calculated...

Thanks tien & Eithanius..

But im still wondering.. Since the Alza is not moving yet when we first filled up the tank (FULL), so it should somehow show the same RANGE for all Alza rite?

I know the RANGE is only estimated and it depends on driving condition as well as the air condition usage, but why in the first place the RANGE show differently while it is still full?

I ask this because i'm afraid that my car got problem.

I expect when we all fill the tank full for the 1st time, it should give the standard RANGE of 4.2 liter tank rite?

Thank you.

The range is based on your avg usage. Give you 2 scenarios for better understanding.

1) Reset Average to (nil) and start the car, drive around... you will see your average is very high, 12++ and therefore range is less.

2) Reset to nil, and make a long distance drive with very light foot, after some km coverage/driving, you will see your avg drops from initial 12++ down to maybe 6,7,8.. or... pending how far you have driven and how much fuel you used. Based on this lower avg, you will see your range is better.

So it is per car per consumption, it is not fixed at 12++

When I go outstation, my range on full tank is a lot, over 500+ km.
When in the city, my range is 400+ km or close to 400 cause the wife never care abt these things, just step on it & go go go...

You got me confused for a while... rclxub.gif Are you talking about measured range, or the range indicator on your instrument cluster...?

If it's the latter then it is still not an accurate indicator... I'm mostly based in city driving, and 95% of the time I still get 500+ km on my range...
