i advice u go for n55sf.. same price one.. just slightly bigger with numpad and the resolution can up to 1920 x 1080..  if n45sf, u need to spend time to make the notebook worth n powerful due to some issue.. but n55sf u just on and truly enjoy the incredible..

lol, ya its 1600x900 only. But now since Asus fixed the problem ady, i don see a reason of not buying a N45SF. personally i prefer N45SF over N55SF. Yes true, bigger screen with numpad, but a 1600x900 resolution are a bit heavy for a GT555M. In some games u can only put high setting in 1366x768 and lags in 1600x900. Weight of course not much difference, just 300g difference, but 55sf are too bulky for me. Coz i carry my laptop around everyday, so i prefer 45sf. If i didn't carry it around, i will just use external keyboard. Plus i changed my laptop into a Crucial M4+ori 640gb hdd(so total one ssd one harddisc, took out my optical coz i don really use them), a small portable yet powerful laptop brows.gif

Well,it's really up to individual coz if u ask me,i would say N55SF any time any where.Mayb coz i dont carry my notebook around much.Plus given the same price, for sure i'll take the 1 with larger screen.Like when u r buying a monitor 20" with 1366 x 768 and another 1 with 21" 1600 x 900.The examples r not tat relevant but u get the flow.As for games..u can always tune it down but u can never tune it up.Playing in HD+ lag, then u can tune the resolution down. But if u r playing very smooth,u cant tune up the resolution (for now,i can run any games smoothly in 1600 x 900 resolutions with medium to high settings)Additionally, when i brought my notebook to lab,the numpad helps me a lot especially calculations and information entry where i have to type a lot of figures.Carrying a keyboard around isnt my cup of tea.

Anyway,up to usage.U wan to bring it around,i suggest u take N45SF coz N55SF is quite heavy.Btw,the graphic card problem in N45SF has been solved by updating the bios.If u r using it as a replacement for desktop and u like larger screen with higher resolutions, take N55SF.

ya true up to individual. For me 1366x768 on 15.6" screen a bit weird for me xD. And i don carry my keyboard around also, its not like my notebook keyboard are not working, blackwidow is just too heavy to carry around mad.gif

btw have u tried uncharted 3? it can be played ady xD. danm didn't notice it earlier or else can use uni line to download. The game is just too danm big shocking.gif

Hmm N55SF a little to huge for me to carry around everyday though, that's the reason why I'm going for the N45SF and I've read about the bios update so that the GPU problem will be fixed laugh.gif not a problem at all to me smile.gif What poisons me is the mini woofer hahahah

Also, any idea if white is available in Malaysia and which part of the laptop has the rubber finish? Thanks in advance!

Edit: Dammit I haven't buy Uncharted3 sad.gif

Thanks for your help, Kevin. I managed to clone and install my Momentus XT into my N45 this morning at 1am! That connector is really a pain. I love how they did it with the IBM Thinkpads, only need to unscrew one screw and pull out the disk. Can be done in few minutes.

At least now I can enjoy the hybrid rather than bogged down by the slow 5400 OEM HD.

basically, all are SATA true. But what u didn't realise was, u try take out ur ori harddisc, u should see that actually the hdd are fit with another special adapter. So what u need to do is to take the adapter, fit to your new momentus XT, then it can fit into it perfectly. Try it out. Coz i replaced my hdd with Crucial M4 and it works well. Do let us know the result xD

lol, same thing happen to me actually. Coz that time when i wanna change into my ssd, i saw the connectors i was like shocked. Coz its like i wasted a lot of money on the ssd and the connectors are not the same. Then i took out my hdd only i realize it had another adapter attatched to it xD

Seems like extra cost to me, fixing a pair of extra connectors (male-female) when the standard connectors work just so well with all other NBs. Not sure how many other NBs do this. But yes, like you I was thinking "****! I can't use my XT as a replacement internal HD??!!"

Strangely, I ran the Windows Experience Index this morning, thinking that I'll see an improvement in the Disk Index, since it's 5400 vs 7200 hybrid HD. Nope, score stayed the same. I know the hybrid bit only comes in after some usage as it is based on usage pattern, but shouldn't 5400 vs 7200 rpm make a difference? Hmmm...

This is not a new version this is for those who want the latest version of audio driver which does not have Sonic master
I installed Sonic Focus and did not see any difference just name biggrin.gif
Asus Sonic Master is a tool to customize your audio output and if you set everything at max you do not need to install it.
