Hi,
Just found this sub forum on Asus N55.
I was looking to buy the N55. One store was trying to sell me N53 saying the N55 plastic frame will worn off in term as compared to the N53 Aluminum frame (where our palm rest and rubs on the plastic). Is that true ?
Is the screen display 1366X768 only. Is the 1600X900 display available ?
Thanks in advance !

Hi Guys,
Seriously, is the HD+ still available?
From what I heard, the new N55sf came with the i5 2430M processor (not 2410M). But the screen resolution is 1366X768. So is the 1366X768 version "older" batch using the i5 2410M processor ?

QUOTE(iRonTech @ Oct 10 2011, 08:25 AM) N55SF-S2187V come with 1600x 900 HD+ ? It seems to me (from brochure of one company) that S2187V comes with 1366X768 screen. I have asked few companies and did not hear of any N55SF with the 1600X900 (in Penang). I am still looking as I heard the 1600X900 screen will be better for the 15.6" size. Added on October 10, 2011, 9:53 amQUOTE(htpkevin @ Oct 8 2011, 07:24 PM) ya somemore i5-2430m. But no regrets lol, coz maybe one months later got newer one? who knows but still, after my caddy reach, might get a 1tb hdd or something, then in terms of speed, in terms of capacity i still pawn hopefully the tuniq-tx4 i ordered last week will reach tmr, then in terms of temperature i pawn again so, no regrets Ha ha, PC Fair is coming soon. In Penang on Oct 28, so I might just wait and see if any more goodies will be offered ! This post has been edited by bbgoat: Oct 10 2011, 09:53 AM

QUOTE(iRonTech @ Oct 14 2011, 01:14 PM) (some, so to i7-2670QM) Asus's i5-2430 2.2GHz-2.9GHz Can someone confirm the S2353V with HD+ ? From the Asus brochure that someone posted the link earlier, it is still HD of 1366X768 in page 21. Kind of disappointed as I am looking for the HD+ also !

QUOTE(mdduan @ Oct 29 2011, 07:42 PM) nope. core i7 come with 1366x768 screen resolution. core i5 come with 1600x900 resolution. Asus brochure for the i5 N55sf showing 1366X768 screen resolution. No reason why the i7 should have lower resolution ?? Added on October 30, 2011, 12:00 pmQUOTE(syukriramli @ Oct 29 2011, 06:37 PM) Is this the one that comes with the N55sf (given by Asus) ? QUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Oct 30 2011, 12:06 PM) That is the current situation.. Brochure isn't always accurate.. The Asus G53SX@RM3999 stated 1366x768, but user getting FullHD.. Thanks for the info. I went to one shop last nite and the sales guy opened up the N55 and the display setting showing 1600X900. Before that he was also thinking it was 1366X768. So I will rest the case. Thanks again.
