can this laptop run battlefield 3 at all?

n55 will also lag with when play games with battery? i think this is not a big problem since everyone play games with power adapter only...

In gaming you are right but when it is idle it is using Intel VGA not nVIDIA.

i tried with running vm, play some games, quite smooth everything, with adapter, battery taken out.

the subwoofer if open max volume got a bit crackling sound, but otherwise is a beautiful add on


i wish he will be strong and last for another 5 years like his older brother asus A8j

I successfully flashed my BIOS just now
Here is some result and review of the BIOS 218

This is before updating my BIOS
Temperature was just below 80c (driver 280.26) & (BIOS 209)


Now this is after updating to BIOS 218

^this is with battery&adapter

With battery only

Graph was smooth but the discharge rate went up to -85w!


Gonna test some games now. I'll let you know how it turns out to be

So it is recommended to take off the battery while playing games while its on AC power?

The 90W adapter just can barely cover the -85W consumption, leaving almost none to charging battery..
That's why lagging when plug in battery?

How about casual usage ie. movies,internet,songs,Word etc? Is it recommended to remove the battery then? Or only during heavy loading?

Up to you, you want delay the battery life cycle or as backup power for your work incase of electricity outage?

Haha losing work due to a power outage would be....cannot describe hehe touch wood..Would be using AC most of the time. But also don't want the battery to die too quickly. Not really knowledgeable in this area,any sifus can give some advice? Oh,seen some posts where some bought a bigger power brick,more juice.Is it advisable to do so? lappy goreng.... crispy and glossy. PS,this will sound weird,but how often are power outages in KL? Lol the latest Nvidia driver drop my WEI ratings =.=ll Beta driver dropped from 5.8 to 5.0 and now the WHQL driver drop from 5.0 to 4.9...keeps getting worst lol

so the WEI really accurate ah? maybe for WEI the rating drop but for gameplay the framepersecond may increase? just guessing...

Hi, i am here to ask question again

I follow simon's link to download the win 7 iso, since he mentioned that need to put the serial key, that means i can only download the win home premium as i have the serial for it from my system right? can i use the win 7 professional?

about the WEI, after recovery i got 5.9 with nvidia 280.26, i guess will have to wait for a while before getting the 285 ler.

Yea i got 5.9 WEI for 280.26 also.But all the drivers after this 1 drops my WEI score
