The best choice belowe 3k is N55 i5 la.The sound is very good with the cola can.

few days ago i really want to buy N55 but then some pros said AMD HD6770 giv lower temperature than GT555M.
but then Acid said the true culprit of high temperature is the cpu..i5 is cooler but i7 is more powerful..
so now hav to think again, since the only laptop under 3k with AMD HD6770 is HP dv6,
and i hav nvr trust HP since my old Compaq CQ40 laptop lcd broken and mobo is fried. lol

i7 sure powerful than i5 but if u dont do lots of multitasking then i5 can be used la.
N55 comes with 2yrs warranty standard.HP u need to add to extend the warranty.
this i7 n55 oso my first Asus.

lol. you might want to reconsider GE620DX since it has easy access to the cooling system and others components. easy to remove dust or reapplying thermal paste.

1 panel remove, u can see and touch almost everything.

wow. that fan is soooooooo easy to clean. tiup-tiup and use vacuum cleaner also can alrdy..no need take out the who thing.

I think cooling pad is useless on N55sf because there are no cooling vents at bottom of the ntb. I have zalman nc-1500 and there is no difference in temperatures when it is turned on with max power or turned off. So please tell me what kind of cooler are you using. Thanks.

Yo guys, I intend to upgrade my N55SF-S2043V (i5 HD+) from 4GB to 8GB RAM. Does it contain 4GB ram slot or 2GB ram slots? Is mushkin a good brand for this?

i awiz clock my i5 at 1.7ghz max.... no affect on gaming performance... haha.... temps are low also. 71+-.. XD

at high , max.. means turbo boost enabled... it could reach 91 92.... but i use throttlestop to auto control my temps.. when it reaches 85 above. auto throttle to 2.3ghz. disable turbo boost.. XD... by then it wil cool down.. then throttlestop will enable turbo boost again. XD...

best of both worlds... u got ur max cpu clock when needed.. and u got auto temp control. XD.... above 85???? miahhaaha.. disable turbo boost.. XD



i'd recommend this to all users hu feel insecure of their 9X temps.. XD... (but dun worry.... rated at 100 celcius to throttle.... 100+++++++ till shut down. XD, so. u wun fry ur lappy...)
