Hey guys, so I finally got around to doing the backup to DVDs for the 2nd time.
If you can recall, the first time around I only had to use 4 DVDs, and everyone else in this forum used 5.
Today, I did it again.....I still only had to use 4 DVDs. So what do I make of it??? I don't think I did it wrong the first time around. (message box did come out at the end "Successfully...")

Quick question:
For the recovery partition (25GB), does it has the name "Recovery partition" on it when you view it from manage>Disk Management? Mine shows that there is a reserve space around 25GB for it. but it has no label on the partition. wondering if that is the recovery partition..

QUOTE(Asusta @ Sep 27 2011, 12:17 PM) Single layer 4.7GB DVD-R. I think you were from NZ Probably Asus installed different programs on your laptop compare to Malaysians and that is why Asus recommend 6 DVDs maybe for those versions which use more installed programs.

Yup I'm the one from NZ. Oh really??? Yeah that's what I was thinking too...that perhaps mine were different to everyone else's in here. Because when I started up the backup, it says prepare 4 writeable DVDs just above the drop down bar where you select your DVD-Rom. QUOTE(IceBikers @ Sep 27 2011, 08:05 PM) how do u do it for second time? mine first time failed and never able to do it again. There should be an icon on the desktop that says "AI Recovery". Otherwise you go to Control Panel > System and Security > Backup and Restore. Then you back it up to disc/DVD. Hope that helps.
