im bek. XD.. afta so long a time... ok.. just zoom through the thread... hmm...
ok... grahp frm kobe is normal.. when usage is low it will clock down.... so ntg wrng thr... then i heard sumone said wat turbo or no turbo wat game lag/.. ok... my own exp..... if i din manually ''cripple'' (so to speak) my cpu to it's intended stock clock of 2.3ghz.... games still run smooth.... but as i said... last time when i tested with prime+furmarck... XD.... nt enuf juice..... cpu will downlock..XD..... to 798mhz.... so.... kev's case of lagginess would be... the cpu.. nt the gpu.... haha.... also... since it seems the new N series cant take juice frm battery when on AC..... XD.... deswai in games.. when turbo boost is enabled.. it throttles.. cause nt enuf juice.... XD.... the solution is.. power4gear.. cpu state put 99%.. that will cancel turbo boost...XD.... after all... i5 is meant for 2.3ghz stock... XD.... my personal guess.... the manufacturers.. when designing... take into account only the stock clock.... nt the turbo boosted 2.9ghz..XD.... (makes sense... turbo boost is like a bonus feature....) for me.. i manually cripple my cpu to 1.7ghz. 90% of the time.XD.. it is enuf to do everything smoothly.. extra juice only when demanding games or software.XD +lower temps.XD |

QUOTE(Shunz @ Sep 15 2011, 06:29 PM) CPU is not soldered. Its like desktop plugged into a socket. Asus N55SF has Intel HM65 Express chipset...It's possible to change laptop CPU but you must get the CPU with the same power and BIOS must support it. I not sure with GPU Correct me if i'm wrong According to this Site, i have many options to upgrade my CPU (i5-2410M)!? http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Intel_%28chi...65_Express.html |

U-series is a good recommendation. Long battery life and decent performance.

It's a trade off. It's too slim to stuff a more powerful speaker inside.

Enable Logging from Option when u start playing games.. with these u can play in fullscreen. when the game started to lag, the cpu frequency is only 785 - 795 mhz... 120w power brick is definitely worth to try. Anyone playing PES2011? That game is quite CPU intensive.
