Yeap. It is unlikely we'll win the La Liga though. Don't see Madrid losing at least 3 games.

Don't think many of us would be too fussed if we didn't win it, though, especially if Pep brings home Champions League, Copa Del Rey and Spanish Cup.

FIVE goals.

First player to score five in a Champions League match.

Amazing player.

I wonder what's Messi's conversion rate.

I'm sure he has scored more goals than he has attempts missed/saved.

All the best, Eric.

It was a nice touch from Puyol to let him lift the European Cup last season after his operation. Get well soon ,Eric and hope to see you back in the Barca team!

The number of times he scores by chipping the goalkeeper this season is more than Torres & Carroll scored at their respective clubs.

The funny thing is that before the match I was watching a Messi chips video on youtube.
Amazing player.
We are so incredibly lucky!

Don't think it was necessary for you to bring Torres and Carroll into this when quite rightly they are nowhere near Messi's standard.

Anyways, apparently just one goal behind Cesar Rodrgiuez's record which he can break or equal at least, tonight.

Mother of all chips ..

He makes them look so easy.

Ronaldo has NOTHING over Messi. NOTHING.

Lionel Messi is easily the best footballer I have ever seen in my entire life to date.

couldnt agree more smile.gif

But ronaldo has nothing over messi? u sure? because Ronaldo Got more PK than messi T_T sad.gif

hehehe
*
Hahahaha .. actually Ronaldo's free kicks are amazing .. the technique but .. it hits the wall more times than he actually scores.

As for the penalties ... Ronaldo needs them to be close to Messi XD

I hope he can break the 70 goal mark this season!!

QUOTE(uzary @ Mar 21 2012, 06:49 PM)
well, there r many out there wont ''acknowledged'' messi's ability until he play for other club n success.. n mostly said that is why ronaldo has the upper hand as he prove he succeed in portugal, england n also spain( he is d top scorer altho rm only win CDR las season).

for me, i dont giv a dam bout others hav to say, nor i care bout their ''acknowlegment'' regarding messi's ability.. for me messi has proved enough, he is playin wit the best football club in the world, he achieved so many already n the only cup left for him to win is the world cup. it is unfair to compare messi n ronaldo, messi has his reason for stayin in barcelona, n ronaldo went to rm because rm is his dream club from d beginning..
*
Yes. I keep saying Messi DOES NOT have to play in Premier League to prove anything. If people want to base 'Great players' on those who score in all the Leagues .. then Ruud van Nistelrooy should be the greatest ever player cause he scored in England, Netherlands, Spain and Germany!!

Also, people say Messi can't perform with Argentina and I agree with that but guess what?? Ronaldo plays like crap for Portugal, Rooney plays like crap for England .. Hardly anyone performs well for both club and country. The only few players I can think of are Luis Suarez and David Villa but that does not necessarily mean they are better than Messi.

Ronaldo shouldn't even be compared to Messi. He takes more penalties and free kicks and goals do not tell anything bout a player's brilliance. Ronaldo hardly turns up when Madrid play Barca, just like how he hardly turned up when United played Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. Also does diving alot in the past and throws his tantrums when things don't go his way. Messi gets kicked, pushed, shoved, elbowed or whatever but he gets up and play the game. Messi also so humble and modest.

And I don't think he can be compared to Pele, Maradona or Platini as football was alot different then.

Everyone knows they didn't play in the English league .. but I'm just saying in general Messi cannot be compared to them because they are of different eras.

What a boring game! Had I known the pitch is like that, I would have decided to check livescore tomorrow morning, instead of sacrificing my sleep time watching it. Players were slipping non stop out there, the movement of the ball was so slow, that it didn't only affect our game, it even made their attack awful sweat.gif Hopefully the tie will be a classic one, the way it should be, at Camp Nou.

To be honest, a true fan wouldn't have said that tongue.gif but I completely understand, lol.

Every single team has their divers and all. Live with it.

Barcelona may get favouritism by UEFA but it's not their fault. Blame UEFA, not them, unless of course, Barcelona is paying them every season. Man United gets favourable decisions every single season as well.

Anyways, apparently Barcelona are going to Malaysia for a friendly this summer? Damn and I will probably be stuck in UK then.

I wished people would stop it with Barca's diving or play acting because everyone does it.

Pepe is one of the biggest culprits in the game. Mourinho himself is a d***. Cristiano Ronaldo did it alot of Man United. Nani does it for Man United. I'm a Liverpool fan but Suarez and Maxi love exaggerating contact. Drogba is Chelsea's great pretender. Everyone does it. Play acting, exaggeration of contact and falling easily has become part and parcel of football, unfortunately.

Barcelona's antics are provoked by Real Madrid's way of playing. Real can't compete with them football-wise so they set out to give them the dirty treatment to stop Barcelona from playing their game.

It is no doubt that Pedro, Busquets and Alves are the best actors. I remember a youtube video showing Barcelona players laying on the ground whenever they play Real Madrid .. guess what ... if your opponents were kicking you, pushing you, shoving you, elbowing you and all and you got no protection from the referee, even you would stay on the ground to get his attention.

I've seen my friends complain about Barcelona diving and all but whenever I see them play casual football, yet they do the same.

So put up with it.

It was a bad challenge. Could easily have been red but Nani was able to chase the referee around before going down and cry like a girl until a stretcher came.

It's nothing more serious than a child falling off his bike but that's a child. Nani is a professional grown up footballer.
