I still remember when Tevez moved to city. Whoa, bukan main banyak lagi those who supported him coz he was "not given the chance" la, SAF is an old stubborn man who dunno what he's lost la, Tevez >>>>>> Berba, Berba lazy but Tevez giving his heart and soul running around etc etc. We all know how that story ends.ends up, his true intention revealed.

Maybe Hargo isnt money minded, but if u repay the fans who waited so ever patiently for him to come back by moving to City, regardless of reasons, then be ready to throw your cult legend status into the drain. Another example, tell me how many Liverpool fans still consider Owen as a Liverpool legend.

on the bolded part. let's not go into that road anymore. bored of it.

like boxy said, thanks for your contribution hargo. now u can f*** off.

LOL! looks like the 1 that's butthurt isn't me. I'm not the 1 that said "he's dead". So threatening, macam gangster only. Anyway, it's his choice to join whichever team he wants and it's your choice to hate on anyone/everyone. In the end, it's obvious you are a Man Utd fan and not an Owen Hargreaves fan. It's not like Owen Hargreaves is a Man Utd legend to begin with or he came up from the Academy.

Oh my, that was not even a threat.

For the record, I have been patiently waiting for his return to the first team while others had brushed him away. To say that I'm not a Hargreaves fan, man, you got that wrong. Rooney was scrutinized the same way when he made the same foolish request to Chelsea. I was very excited to see him feature in United's match last season and only to be sub 6mins later.

Now, the question is, you're saying I'm free to hate anyone I like, why the sudden defense of Owen Hargreaves? Sour? Or .. butt needs vaseline?

(P.S: Chelsea for Ribery @ 30million?? That's kinda high especially when he has played for Bayern in CL qualifiers, and will be ineligible. If it goes through, it makes our offer for "him" looks much better....).

If you are a Hargreaves fan, you would support him no matter which team he is in. I too supported Hargreaves to return to the first team because I've always felt his free kicks were top class and he was a combative midfielder which MU have been lacking. You and your personal attacks are so juvenile. I'm purely stating the facts of life and not attacking you personally but apparently you took it personally so maybe you would like to go buy some vaseline for yourself.

I totally agree with SGSUser, who wouldn't want a chance to win trophies and we cannot deny that he has a better chance with City than with West Ham. In the end, it's SAF who let him go, not he who told SAF he didn't want to come back to MU but instead got to Man City.

I don't know what you are talking about. It's like you are asking me to look at the air and identify the hydrogen cells in there. It's easy to simply say that people don't get it when you didn't explain anything. Not "many" people. Go read some English primary school text books and come back.

Personal attacks? Oh wait. I just stated you butthurt because of my comments over Hargreaves. So, basically, you are offended about it. What juvenile and personal attacks? LOL.

I'm saying Hargreaves is ungrateful *******. United went through so much trouble to get him from Bayern Munich. Not only that, United paid for his wage for the past 3 years and he only played for almost a full season. Not to mention, all of the time and faith of fans in him returning inti action.

As much as I like Hargreaveas, I love United more. No one is bigger than the club. Except for Busby and Fergie. Beckham was given the boot, Ruud was given the boot and heck even Keano was given the boot.

What's the difference betweeb Hargreaves and those names? Go figure. For all that I care, Hargreaves can feck off if he joins Citeh.

I don't know what you are talking about. It's like you are asking me to look at the air and identify the hydrogen cells in there. It's easy to simply say that people don't get it when you didn't explain anything. Not "many" people. Go read some English primary school text books and come back.

If he truly loves the club then he should the simple logic of LOCAL RIVALS.

What? His chance is zero. In United, you will always have to fight for your playtime. Fergie and fans believed in him and even gave him an undeserved start last season. He lasted for 5-6mins and poof. Off the radar again. Wait patiently? Yeah .. right.

I can agree to this.

Simple, Micheal Owen had to play a number of times to get that medal, last season. What do you think of Hargreaves' chances are? To be featured at least in 9 or 11 PL games?

Again, a chance to win title, like really? First thing is, to get fit and get some playtime. He wanted to play with the national team again. And he wouldn't get that chance if he joins Citeh which are packed with midfielders.

My last reply to you since you obviously don't understand where I'm coming from. How is Hargreaves ungrateful when it was Man Utd that let him go? It's not like he had a choice but to leave MU. He wasn't put in a position where he could choose MU or Man City and he chose Man City (like Tevez). He's a free agent after the club let him go, so I feel that saying he is ungrateful is unfair. They are all professional footballers. Does it mean that O'Shea and Wes Brown should each score an own goal for Man Utd when Sunderland plays Man Utd to prove they are faithful or grateful to SAF and the club?

Seriously dude, you are the one that don't understand.

Fergie kept him for seasons and believed in him. Fergie found out that he had to make way for new generation. Hargreaves knees are fecked(according to the reports which I do think it is more to mental state) for all the we know. Now, if you are Fergie, will you still keep him especially PL requires 25-man squad to be registered in every season? Or would you make way for new signings and maybe youngsters?

And talk about his choices, it's not Citeh is the only choice that he has. Weren't there reports of Spurs and West Ham chasing for his services?

Oh, about O'Shea and Brown, please read the first paragraph of this reply. Maybe you'll get some idea.

it's okay, everyone has every reason to like or not to like his decision.

and yes, it must be hurting most of the fan and the club also, they have done their best for hargo, they even keep paying full wages all these years, they spent for the medical, hargo only playing for several minutes, and now he's going to United biggest rival? of course lot of fans will hate him.

come on, put it this way, if he really has a good will, why these past several seasons he didn't initiate to propose wage reduction+salary per match scheme? I remember solskjaer did that. or maybe United already proposed but he rejected? and nearing end of his contract he's become panic and said to have proposed to play for fee, no wonder he'll make such a decision to join city.

when you said you love a club, if you ever join the biggest rival in future, it means what you've said is bulls*it. people will defend them with saying they need career, they need money, but with player like hargo that's almost reaching end of his career, surely he already has big amount of money, and if he wants, he can join any club except ones that hurt United fans, a disrespectful decision to fans who spent lot of money to support their club, not get paid to support, who's chanting your name in stadium, keep giving support.

yea, he was my favourite, surely i'll watch some City games if hargo plays, but rationally speaking, most of United fans surely will get mad at him. maybe they will say "i thought only your foot is made of glass, now i know that your heart also" biggrin.gif

but, respect, fans still have reason to defend him and wish him the best, and hopefully will make it to England's squad, but never disturb United biggrin.gif

Wayne Rooney doubts Owen Hargreaves can get back to best

QUOTE
Wayne Rooney fears former team-mate Owen Hargreaves will find it difficult to get back to his best if he signs for Manchester City.

Hargreaves, 30, who was released by Manchester United this summer, had a medical at City on Tuesday.

After further talks, if stringent checks come back all clear, Hargreaves will sign an appearance-related deal.

"He worked really hard and got back last season, played one game and then got a hamstring injury," Rooney said.

"He's been out for a couple of years. I think it will be difficult for him to get back to his best. I hope he can do so.

"From an England point of view he was a type of midfield player that we hadn't really had before.

"If he can get back that would be great but it will be difficult for him."

Hargreaves was released by Sir Alex Ferguson after four injury-blighted years at Old Trafford.

He had been linked with West Brom before emerging as a shock target for Man City coach Roberto Mancini.

City keeper Joe Hart was visibly stunned when the news of Hargreaves' possible arrival as a new team-mate was revealed to him during a media briefing while he was on England duty ahead of the Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Wales.

He responded when told of the deal: "Pardon? Is he? Wowzers. Where's that come from? Really? I don't know what to make of that. That's been put right on my toes.

"It could be a massive signing. You can tell how important he was.

"I've never been involved with him but I saw a lot of him before and how highly he was regarded when he was at Bayern Munich and at Manchester United.

"He's a huge player and if he's fit and a part of Man City, he'll be another great signing."

Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott added: "Owen is an experienced player, he has played in the Champions League, is an international. It is only going to be good for the City squad if he signs.

"People ask if it represents a gamble but the club know what they are doing, Owen knows what he is doing. He is still a good player.

"If we can get him fit, I'm sure it won't be very long before he is back to his best. He will be a player with a point to prove after his injuries."

Hargreaves was England's star performer at the World Cup in Germany in 2006. He joined Manchester United from Bayern Munich for £18m the following year.

Hargreaves played in the 2008 Champions League final victory over Chelsea in Moscow but then began to suffer with knee problems, restricting him to four appearances in three seasons.

He lasted just 10 minutes of his comeback against Wolves last September and United opted not to renew his contract as a result.

agreed. with due to respect, Hargreaves offered MU to play for free, but SAF kindly rejected his offer in order for him to revive his career somewhere else..

if that means City, then so be it

I guess his choice is either retire or join City. hahaha his still got ambition to play for England eh? and his chances it's higher in City I guess ( even if he's ever fit or got choose over De Jong or Barry laugh.gif )

anyway , he can join at any time right ? as he is free agent laugh.gif

fair game to him. fans still mad at schmeichel? laugh.gif

I think people take this transfer seriously. It's lulz transfer. City taking United reject laugh.gif
