You know, we "indirectly" helped Arsene to open his eyes and see just how wrong is his team. After the trashing, he went on a spending spree with Park and Santos, with Mertasacker on his way.

If we had beat Arsenal AFTER the transfer window, they might be in the bottom half of the table come January.....

it will only benefit us as Arsenal still need to face City, Chelsea, Tottenham twice, and we would want them to help us in those fixture and not to be thrashed like what we did to them

Good argument. Sometimes the enemy of my enemy is my "friend" biggrin.gif

This is soooooooo gonna be interesting.... brows.gif

(P.S: Chelsea for Ribery @ 30million?? That's kinda high especially when he has played for Bayern in CL qualifiers, and will be ineligible. If it goes through, it makes our offer for "him" looks much better....).

hahaha nice try

well yea wenger hit panic button, but still "his" button, buying average player, not an well-established player, won't really encourage arsenal fans
*
Well, among the 3, the only one I see doing well is Mertasacker. But he's on the slow side, so if he doesn't adept soon enough, he's for a very rude shock.

Hmm, guess the "big announcement" by MU is not forthcoming. It's been very silent on their part.

Arsene signing Yossi. Yeah, that's right. From Chelsea.

I don't see a great future ahead for their midfield...

Sneijder sad.gif I guess SAF waited to see if he played well in his new CM position at Inter. Didn't impressed much then?
*
We are practically good enough in the domestic league and cups at the moment. And the early stages of the CL.

The question remain is what happens in the later stages - but then again, Fergie has rotated his midfield every match, so that should get us to at least a semis? hmm.gif

From Arsenal transfers

Arteta replacing Fabregas

Yossi replacing Nasri
*
Sorry, but Yossi is NOWHERE near Nasri. Arteta might be just good enough to be Fabregas' replacement.

Gibson doesnt leave this summer, then he'll most likely leave in January

cant see him getting back into the team liao...
*
Very unlikely. Maybe in the Carling Cup.

He's really down in the pecking order, with Cleverly and Anderson running like Olympic sprinters, Fletcher bossing the midfield, Giggs spreading his experience (on the pitch, not on bed brows.gif ) and Carrick doing what he does best...

Well, this is the reason WHY not to buy players at the very last minute....

MIKEL ARTETA has stunned Arsenal fans by admitting his best days are behind him.

The Spaniard was Arsene Wenger's standout purchase on deadline day as he secured a £10million move from Everton.

But the midfielder, who turns 30 next year, revealed time is fast running out for him.

He said: "There is always a start and an end and today is the end of probably the best time of my career.

"I am 29 years old so I haven't got much time left to take a chance like this one. I think I have done my best for Everton.

"It is very difficult to say goodbye. I still can't believe it but at the same time I think it is the right moment for everyone.

"It has been crazy. I can't believe what happened, and the way it happened but as I said, that is part of football and I am going to be playing for another club soon.

"Obviously I am never going to forget what I have done here and what the people and this club have done for me."

Arteta revealed the lure of Champions League football played its part in the move.

He said: "It is a big opportunity for me and my family and I think it is the right time for me to take it.

"It is a big challenge, a different challenge, fresh for me and I want to see myself on the biggest stage, the Champions League.

"I always try hard, I have been as professional as I could and I was grateful for the support and the love that the club and the fans showed me."

Well, some good news for today.....

Record profits for Manchester United

MANCHESTER UNITED have announced record operating profits of £110.9million for the past financial year.

The club's revenue also passed £300m for the first time to £331.4m — an increase of £45m from last year — according to figures for the year ended June 30, 2011.

United, who won the Premier League title and reached the Champions League final under boss Alex Ferguson during the period, have also recorded a commercial turnover of £103.4m.

Net debt is down to £308.3m from £376.9m according to the new figures.

The latest results come as the club consider a plan to raise up to £614m by floating on the Singapore Stock Exchange.

PROFIT! WOOHOO!
