so sad to read the news about hargo, I wish it was wenger who made the move. fully understand his decision and grateful for his service at united but I hope he will never play in old trafford with city, he'll surely get booed

anyway players from both manchester clubs dominate england's squad. I didnt expect smalling and phil called. together with young cleverley rooney

it's okay, everyone has every reason to like or not to like his decision.

and yes, it must be hurting most of the fan and the club also, they have done their best for hargo, they even keep paying full wages all these years, they spent for the medical, hargo only playing for several minutes, and now he's going to United biggest rival? of course lot of fans will hate him.

come on, put it this way, if he really has a good will, why these past several seasons he didn't initiate to propose wage reduction+salary per match scheme? I remember solskjaer did that. or maybe United already proposed but he rejected? and nearing end of his contract he's become panic and said to have proposed to play for fee, no wonder he'll make such a decision to join city.

when you said you love a club, if you ever join the biggest rival in future, it means what you've said is bulls*it. people will defend them with saying they need career, they need money, but with player like hargo that's almost reaching end of his career, surely he already has big amount of money, and if he wants, he can join any club except ones that hurt United fans, a disrespectful decision to fans who spent lot of money to support their club, not get paid to support, who's chanting your name in stadium, keep giving support.

yea, he was my favourite, surely i'll watch some City games if hargo plays, but rationally speaking, most of United fans surely will get mad at him. maybe they will say "i thought only your foot is made of glass, now i know that your heart also" biggrin.gif

but, respect, fans still have reason to defend him and wish him the best, and hopefully will make it to England's squad, but never disturb United biggrin.gif

hahaha nice try

well yea wenger hit panic button, but still "his" button, buying average player, not an well-established player, won't really encourage arsenal fans

well, poor san marino, RVP bounce back with 4 goals in 11-0 riot lol

it means there are 21 goals in RVP last two games lol lets see how swansea cope with him

well rooney scored 5 in last 2 games, hopefully next game against wales wont injure him

maybe they can wish for spain to keep playing with casillas reina valdes etc without involving DDG to involve in any senior matches these coming years, until DDG got the english nationality and eligible to play for england lol by then i'm sure that'll be different case from almunia biggrin.gif

this is not quite possible because he has represented spain under 21 team, so meaning he declared to play for spain already.
*
as long as he hasn't played for senior team, by rule that's still possible biggrin.gif

ddg is a cool-headed ppl, he didn't get nerves at all since the first game, because he's cool-headef ppl he lost concentration sometimes biggrin.gif just kidding, i'm sure united can rely on him for 2 decades, finger crossed

Nope, still not possible. This is from Arteta's wiki page:
i dont think De Gea's situation is any different from Arteta so he wont be eligible as well. Almunia is different because he has never made any appearance for Spain for whatever level, so when he gained his British passport he is eligible for England.
Since Holland is the first to play total football with fluid passing and movement, can i call Barca the Spanish Holland instead?  hmm.gif

ohh thanks for the info. I searched around and found out the rules are varied between countries, so I was confused about DDG case biggrin.gif

barca has bunch of natural-gifted players with manager who learnt so much from when he was the catalan's captain under cruijff, obvious example is their last game against villareal, 3-4-3 with only 1 pure defender, 6 midfielders, 3 forwards, end up beating villareal 5-0.

if I want to compare, this united looked a bit similar to arsenal in mid 2000-2010, two holding midfielder with two wingers cutting inside causing stir and do some one-two plays when cutting it *e.g. nani's excellent goal against city last month

but well that's just for a bit of play, united is united, can't compare entire play with a particular club

okay... so it's like SAF keeps DDG, jones, ferdinand, ando, nani, young, chicharito fresh for match against Chelsea?

nice, just like 2 different teams for 2 matches in a week.. then i'll be excited to know players SAF will pick for match against Leeds 2 days after chelsea

--

just realized that in BPL we play against Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City at home for the first half of this season, wondering how tougher challenge will be faced by United in the second half when we need to beat them at their own home whistling.gif

carrick was like pirlo for United, a pass master with loads of through balls, but his range of pass have been gradually decreased, maybe that is what SAF wants from him, he's certainly an important player for United, i've been fans of him since his departure at united, though yes we need to admit he's a bit slow to cover gap between defender and midfielder sometimes recent years *in my opinion

emerson played discipline and defensive enough to avoid threat from valencia's pace, park did play narrow enough and need more movement from giggs like he did when he scored in the middle, at least that'll help linkage between midfielders and rooney. but well unsurprisingly the performance went like i thought, since midfielder haven't played together this season and some players haven't reached high level of fitness.

draw at away match against strongest opponent in group = decent result

draw at home match against not strongest opponent in group = poor result

both United and City were dominance, with 61% ball possession, but 61% for United doesn't mean much since they only have 4 goal attempts

"Yes, it's slightly strange I suppose seeing managers younger than me," he admitted to MUTV. "I mean he's obviously had a successful time at Porto and Pep Guardiola is only 40 so it might be a trend that is starting to happen." - Giggs

player like berba will be needed mostly in period of february-may, when we'll have loads of matches and key players like rooney ferdinand need to be rested in some matches to avoid injury hampering them for key games

n.b. fletcher and carrick gave more assurance for defence and stability against benfica's attackers *but yes it caused lower attacking threat* after formation shifted to 4-4-2 and fletcher subbed, we didn't have much depth in midfield and benfica players were easy to launch counter-attacking threat, lucky aimar was already subbed with matic, and yes we need to admit carrick probably was having below par performance, missed some passing and nearly end of the match when he was the last player in United defensive line and chasing the ball with benfica player, instead of clearing the ball, he chose to let benfica player holds the ball and closed him down, which could be dangerous for us since he passed the ball easily to the penalty box where 2-3 benfica players already moves into box, lucky we didn't concede.

but i think carrick and ando combo will still be the first choice for chelsea match. interesting to see whether nani will play together with young or whether park jisung that'll get SAF's trust

so in other way you want our level of behavior just like any other teams? rclxms.gif no offense, just kidding

we can win the competition by our own, why need to put the attention to other team's result biggrin.gif

the good thing of a team having a bad run as a fan is, you'll know who are the glory hunters among the fans and who are truly fans who'll stand behind them whatever club's performance have been

enough laugh with torres unbelievable miss, apart from that, i personally think he's man of the match from chelsea side, he provided real threats in the match.

the best thing for chelsea from this match: now they know how to use Torres and even it was contributed by the player himself spoke what's in his mind several days back*didn't check whether he got fined because of he did though* well it's gonna be a lose today but i can see that can be a turning point for chelsea.

but for now, let's enjoy the great win biggrin.gif

very impressive performance from nani today. Totally bamboozled a.cole. Cole can't figure out whether nani will cut inside or go outside throughout the game. Really enjoyable to watch a different way to own a.cole after valencia physically battered cole last season. Having said that, apart from the glaring miss, tbf, torres did had a good game for chelsea. Most dangerous player for chelsea throught the game. However, i am really impressed with ramires. Everytime we play chelsea he really does stand out with his runs from box to box. Think he is the only true "box to box" player in EPL. His ability to run nonstop is great. Never knew brazil can produce such kind of players.

the ultimate box to box player is of course patrice evra thumbup.gif just kidding, yea despite his miss earlier, he had a good game
