I read some review that Dell u2412m not good for gaming due to the respond time. Is it true??? Anyone here try this monitor to play game before?
*
i own 1 and i upgraded from SAMSUNG T220 which has 2ms if im not wrong

personally i dont see any difference in terms in gaming (BF3,LOL, Skyrim, Deus EX etc though havent tried Racing ones)

but the graphic quality improvement from my previous monitor is just awesome thumbup.gif

Webmaster didn't check his code well enough IMO

Other than that, any recommended (cheap) 120Hz monitors?

Is AW2310 a good investment?
I play fighting game genre, which require as less input lag as possible.
I checked those U series or P series, all 5ms or above, which I don't think suitable for me.
I've personally tried on U2711, it is horribly lag.
Please advise.

If I'm not mistaken that's the Alienware 23" 120Hz 3D capable monitor right?
That's probably best for fast-pace games such as one you're playing, it's TN panel.
U2711 does have some serious input lag issue, as for the latest U2312HM and U2412H however the input lag is better, suitable for typical shooting genre but not for super-high-speed-pace game, its 8ms response time might not gives the best experience in those genre.
The Dell's entry Ultrasharp series is for those who can't afford those high-end IPS panel, aside from better colour reproduction, IPS has no advantage over TN in terms of response and input lag as yet.

Thanks for the advise.
IPS hype was so high I keep on wanting them but when I look on their response time, terus down.
I'm hunting for the older model actually, AW2210, which is arguably the best slash lag-less monitor in fighting game community.
But no luck for that, might as well straight go for this.
And I'm not really considering other brand, because... yea... you got the point. blush.gif

1 x HDMI, 1 x DVI, 4 x USB.
Just nice for me cause I'll be hooking my 360 & PC onto it.
So dual DVI or not doesn't really matter.
And what is real 120Hz? rclxub.gif

See the RM999 Viewsonic and Acer "120hz" lcd. While rated at 120hz, it can only run 60hz input. Real 120Hz monitors are the ones certified by nVidia for 3D vision

You sure have a good eye. I had never experience any input lag before. Was thinking of getting U3011.
