Yeah and it's very annoying if it is me. Besides this screen will be a dual display and it fits nicely since I have a 23" from DELL currently.

you got u2312 now as well ? better pair with same model lah, later u put 24" beside not only complain black bar but complain

S2309W is 16:9, then U2312HM should your matching as dual monitor.
But IPS vs TN, then you will see big different color and contrast..haha...
I think I read somewhere got another model for 24"...which is U2412HM, which is 16:9, if not mistaken.

From what I notice, if you put side by side between:
24" (16:9)
23" (16:10)
Your eyes will tell 23" is look bigger than 24" cool2.gif

U2412M Conclution from TFTCentral website:
QUOTE
The U2412M offers a good solution for general office and internet applications. The 1920 x 1200 resolution and 24" screen size offer a good screen real estate to work with, and side by side splitting of the screen is perfectly useable. The slightly increased vertical resolution (1200 pixels) compared with a 16:9 format screen (1080 pixels vertically) means you do gain a bit of height which is good. I personally prefer a 1920 x 1200 screen for office work so this was a welcome break for the common 16:9 aspect ratio screens in the market.

U2312HM Conclution from TFTCentral website:
QUOTE
The U2312HM has a nice high resolution of 1920 x 1080 which is good for side by side office work. I don't think it's as practical as a 16:10 format screen with 1920 x 1200 resolution though as you do lose a bit vertically and the screen did feel smaller than a 'normal' 24" model. The aspect ratio of this screen is a pretty common trend in today's market with the move to multimedia orientated displays and widescreen formats. With a pixel pitch of 0.265mm, the text was comfortable and of a decent size for prolonged office use.

Since dell warranty are good.. I willing to spend another RM 60 for warranty.
The RM60 is just less than 10% of the monitor price. biggrin.gif
