One of the highest income taxes in the world and many like Rupert Murdoch preferred to make a home outside Australia.

At Murdoch's income scale, it make sense to be taxed overseas.

General income earner with expectation of the lifestyle in Australia will grumble but bear with it.

Thanks, I do need help, appreciate it.
My aunts are citizens there. Should I apply for 189/190 as well or should I go for family sponsored visa?

you sure about that?

I am not 100% sure but I read a relatively recent report that compared Australia's tax rates with other OECD or developed countries and Australia's rates were not amongst those identified as being the highest.

Not sure if they are higher than Australia's but Scandinavian and British tax rates are very high too. US citizens get taxed twice.

Family sponsored route almost impossible to get. They have scaled that down tremendously.
Best go for 189/190

IELTS score average 8.0, I hit 9.0 on Listening if i recalled correctly.

IELTS was tough, I failed 2 times (not exactly fail but everytime one of the module touch 6.5) but eventually made it through on the third time.

I will be based on anywhere in Australia as subclass 189 is not limited to any state, so I am free to go anywhere as I wish to go... but so far Melbourne is at the top of my list followed by Sydney.

First time writing, second time speaking.

Both depend on whoever that is marking your paper / speaking at that point of time. Unlike listening and reading.

2 major hurdles getting in here.

1) Getting PR (IELTS is shit)
2) Getting a job (no local experience give you shit)

Ic. Speaking is the most difficult module for me in Ielts and the biggest hurdle for me in securing a PR. I got 6.5 only, but I need at least a 7. Already taken Ielts once in Malaysia, not too sure how many times I need to retake to get at least all 7. doh.gif
