Anyway, if anyone reading this thread is interested to migrate to Australia. I have a contact that is willing to do for you personally, and he has a partner that is based in Perth as well.

If you're interested, PM me for more details.

I never chucked any of my Australian salary in to any application form. Usually just put an expected figure + negotiable.

I usually never give on my resume. I would have told them if it comes down to an interview but so far no replies.

Being ex-commissioning, SOS and troubleshooting, facilities is generally the boring-est desk job available on site with >9000 walkdowns laugh.gif

But hey it pays the bills.

I'd definitely push hard for field work!

It is extremely valuable and having the various add on that make field work possible like First Aid and 4x4 cert make you a lot more attractive to prospective employers. Even graduate positions need onsite experience these days, which is a bit crazy if you ask me.

Depends on your degree and area of specialization.

You usually don't find a job and migrate to Australia, you migrate first and then find a job.

Yes, there are upfront costs, a lot. The minimum I would say for all the paperwork and visa fees without a lawyer is about 5k AUD.

Get a few years of experiences first, then you will be in more demand. 1 year of experience is nothing really.

If you try hard enough, you will land a job there. Its the same everywhere else, but be prepared mentally as you will receive a lot of hurdles.
