how many gaes can play?
can it play dvd movies? music cds?

mostly marvel superheroes game : marvel nemesis, ultimate spiderman, the hulk.
can it be due to mod chip out dated =P

i guess there is nothing as "mod chip" is out of date
what worry me most is the lens is out of allignment or in other word, it become sensitive
by the way , mind to tell us how long is your PS2 ?

and it can still play dvd and music cd

but still dunno y some game cant play ...screen of death as i borrow the game to my fren , can play

if still can play music n dvds, that means your lense are still okay.maybe it needs a tuneup.

no worries,
you can ask those 'technician' from game shop do for you
not 100% working and they might charge you for about RM50-RM100 just to tune the white gear

okay, my ps2 has some problems, again

it seems like it won't read any dvds anymore, not cds
i recently sent it to the shop to be repaired, lens problems (whacked too hard, pissed off )

anyways back to topic, my ps2 won't read anything, so I tried adjusting the white cog, no diff..

so.. is it lens prob? because if it is, then, hasta la vista ps2, i won't bother repairing you again

every games work fine but not rainbowsix lockdown, tried cleaning and adjusting the optical but no help, model SPCH-39006, do you hv such problem?

have you tried to change to other rainbow six disc?

i bought 2 different disc

Most probably your modchip has problem with this game. Some old chips got problems with newer games. That's why is the best to get a modchip that can be flashed upgradable firmware such as DMS3/4, Matrix Infinity, O2 and Ripper.

how to get the firmware update? hwo does this work?
