My PS3 seems to decode before it sends data out of HDMI 1.3, so I can't get DTS HD or Dolby True HD to work.

I have already set it to allow for HDMI to bitstream out onto my integrated amp (which supports DTS HD/Dolby True HD) but the PS3 just wouldn't understand this and insists on decoding the sound before streaming it to the amp.

Does anyone understand this problem, and is there a solution?
*
I don't think PS3 can do bitstream over HDMI as yet...need to wait for the next patch, romours said it'll include DTS-MA as well.

@greyfox

Finally, I get my PS2 modded with Crystal-chip 2.0 Pro SLE from eKai smile.gif. However, he's not very familiar with CC modchips and applications thus he asked me to seek ur help smile.gif.

I dunno where he stopped but my PS2 now boot the BM application once I started up my PS2. However, I have no idea how to install other applications such as HDLoader, etc. into my HDD, MC or Flash drive? Please advise if I need to do everything all over again smile.gif

1. Power off your PSP, holding the power button for at least 3 seconds.

2. While it is off, press the 'R' shoulder button first and then power on your PSP. Wait for a few seconds and you should be in the Recovery Menu.

3. Select Configuration.

4. Under No-UMD mode, browse to M33.

5. Exit all.

you need some file in your usbdrive or cd
you need ule.elf file & APPINFO.PBT

this guide to in stall it from usbdriver to mc (you can install it to hdd or what ever you want to put it)

1st get ule.elf than make pbt file
how to make pbt file open notepad  copy code in spoiler save as APPINFO.PBT
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

put ule.elf file & APPINFO.PBT in usbdrive under x:\BM\APPS\ULE
x is your usbdrive

now plug your usbdrive to ps2 boot it up,
at bm
select application browser>install>usb hdd>mc

Alrites, thanks for the guide and steps. I'll try later today when I get home smile.gif.

However, now it remind me of the BM installed in the CC. I guess it is the default original which come along installed with the modchip. From PSX-Scene forum, I noticed a few package which I can choose...
    # The Official Software Release 34
    # The Hacked Software Release 34 (theAgent)
    # Jones23's Modified Hacked R34

and then there is this...
    # Yoc's Essential Pack for BM 2.1.x
    # Theagent's MegaPack release 2x

Izzit actually any of the above package installed is the same? Then, which is the best to pick? Somehow from observation and from what I read (doesn't understand much), many opts for ones23's Modified Hacked R34. Should I get this installed to my CC? And then only follow ur steps to install the uLE? unsure.gif

@greyfox

I had downloaded Jones23's Modified Hacked R34 firmware and installed to my CC. The bundle come along with ULE and SMS inside, so I already installed ULE to my MC as stated on the forum that it only works if run on MC on this particular Jones23's Modified Hacked R34. Then, how am I gonna launch and run HDLoader or other homebrews? I downloaded the HDLoader ELF from sksapps and used the APPINFO.PBT u posted earlier, but it only detected as LaunchELF in my USB HDD. Haha... guess I misunderstood somewhere and get myself lost. Just trying to explore it on my own but in the end failed... how am I gonna launch HDLoader sir tongue.gif

Yups, I downloaded the HDLoader 8B ELF from sksapps and put in my flash drive (USB HDD) under folder BM\APPS\ULE as mentioned by greyfox along with the APPINFO.PBT file. I think now I understand what's my mistake... izzit I should run ULE from my MC and then select which ELF file to boot from there? sweat.gif *do correct me if I'm wrong, I'll only try later tonite*

BTW snipersnake, great to see u here smile.gif. eKai mentioned u very familiar with Matrix Infinity (MI) modchip. How can I configure the hdd to be detected as Sony HDD by the PS2 system? Any great apps to recommend? eKai just installed DMS HDD EXP on the HDD for my fren smile.gif

Yes.

erm.

no probs.

to turn your hdd to sony's, u need a mod with ATAD PATCH.

Turn it on the recovery menu. get the SONY HDD DISK from sksapps.

burn the disc(make sure use quality cdr, coz heave installation files)

turn on the ps2, and inster the disc. select format hdd.

but be warned, all your data will be lost.
