itll work but itll look like shit coz the sleeves will fray. thats why its recommended to use heatshrinks to give that much cleaner and neater look.

but what i did was i use cable tie and put heatshrink OVER the cable tie. i used the cable tie to make sure the sleeves and shrink doesnt move around.

Cool design. However, don't you think the orange rig's wires are a little messy?

yup, those are PATA to SATA Connector & it is Gigabyte product, well actually it is a OEM Product from Gigabyte, that's why u can't find this selling at shops brows.gif

the converter got 2 molex connector:
1. Male Molex = connect to PSU
2. Female Molex = connect to HDD or ODD (which i'm currently using it on = no more fat ide cable nod.gif )

now back to topic, already use this almost 1 year, got bored & decided to sleeve the power connector, having trouble to heatshrink the power that one end connected to the PATA Header, any ideas how? all i can think of is to cable tied it cry.gif

can't la, don't have digital camera, those pics i got from the previous bulk where i bought em brows.gif brows.gif

i can give u a hint to imagine it, from the PATA header got 2 wire coming out from it:
1. SATA Data Connector
2. Molex Power Connector

The SATA Data Conector got two ends where:
1. Connects to PATA Header
2. Connects to SATA Header at Mobo

The molex power connector got three ends where:
1. Connects to PATA Header
2. Connects to HDD/ODD Male Power inlet
3. Connects to PSU female molex inlet

hopefully that give u better to imagine it laugh.gif
