Basically very good job ...
btw is the CCFL necessary ?? I just feel that it's kind of in the way .. it block your sexy 3870 men .... btw, off topic .. does CF 3870 really prove actual game boost and estimate by how much in rough percentage .. thanks .. has intention if the performance boost is promising. |

well... difference in 3dmark boosted VERY minimal, most likely due to my processor bottleneck, the F3 is at its limit already, going for an upgrade this week so ill just leave it till then.
But, despite synthetic benchmark, real life results speaks for itself. COD4 full effect with maxed out AA playing with 1920x1200 reso does not even goes below 40fps. Even able to play Crysis in all high settings @ 1920x1200. And the best part is, performance isnt affected by high AA/AF setting on xfire, well.. a little, but very minimal comparing to a single card. As for the UV CCFL, yea.. it gets in the way... but till the S1/HR-03GT (whichever arrives first), i luv the way the red stock HSF shines under UV |

@AoiNatsume
ic thanks for the info ... coz I just don't feel like going got 3870X2 that's hot by nature and would take some times or probably no third party cooler for it due to its design of dual core on single PCB... I was so depress after played The Witcher for while and realized as I progress the lagging is so obvious with 3870 compared to 2900XT that forced me to downgrade the graphic setting .. which for me it's not acceptable given choosing ATI over NV is for its better image graphic rendering. btw is the stock cooler UV reactive ?? |

well, apparently it is indeed reactive to UV as you see in the picture xD
as for performance wise, well... we'll just have to wait for the drivers update. In my experience since cat7.6, each release really do make noticeable performance boost and really does help in fixing bugs and issues unlike those from the green side. Do keep in mind im no fan boy though, been using both the green and reds (2600CF/88GTS). |

are u sure that going to last?
make sure your cable didn't touch anything that produce heat... the most important part, don't give your cables too much tension. it might not last, the cables might break internally. thats what happen to my some of my LAN cable. |

QUOTE(ben_panced @ Jan 24 2008, 11:35 PM) jinaun.. its kinda difficult to squeeze in that hole anymore.. and the wires are kinda very keras to bendwhy dont u tuck all of ur psu cable in the back thru that hole next to the psu?? im sure it will make a lot of difference remember to fully utilize the pre-cut holes that the cm 690 has but i'll try to get a modular psu nex time and i'm sure the results would be better |

QUOTE(general_odin @ Jan 24 2008, 08:26 PM) are u sure that going to last? im not worried about that, i never stuff all my cables, i always give them some room for breather if you noticed. Each and every cable can be pulled slightly(+-4/5cm) just in case of any sudden changes.make sure your cable didn't touch anything that produce heat... the most important part, don't give your cables too much tension. it might not last, the cables might break internally. thats what happen to my some of my LAN cable. |
