The main reason for me putting it there was because of the controller being silver color.I wanted a black one but too bad FM82 doesnt come with a black one.If i put it facing outsite at the floppy bay, it would not match my black casing.Anyway, i am running it at around 60% of the speed right now and wont be changing them as this is the max noise i could tolerate. Will be getting the FM121 soon with black controller and fix it at the floppy bay to match the case or else, get that 3 fan controller from SS for all my SS fan in the casing...

I understand what you mean there.Previously, my C5 is also having this problem as well as my cousin who is using the TJ06.Both of us need to stick it using double sided tape at the floopy bay to fix it there.Later, i switch it to the inside and screw it there...

ic. my FM-121 controller also silver color...brought from Moderno, he did not give me black one even thought I brought it together with the black CM-532... but the silver one actually quite good looking too...

I can't fix it inside as I will always change the speed to meet the current situation...my room sometime is freaking hot especially during hot weather, so need to turn it to full speed... and my casing now is pretty cramped with 3 hdd inside, need to get the Noctua fan fast to cool it down...hopefully the 4th bulk will end soon so we can get the fan on May...

There's nth more u could do with the PSU cable anymore it's the best way to hide it already ... the only issue is u have too much of other cables that stuck in the same direction as well ...

What i did last time was to built a custom length of Sata power connecter the cable goes through the case on the other side and up to the power source.

in total i did only have one power cable sourced from PSU two support HDD, and optical drives. (the opitcal drive powe cable was custom made as well)

besides that remember to tie up the cables that goes through the mobo to the other side of the case.

dunno la...somehow im just not quite happy with the top right corner of akachester's case. seems like theres TOO MUCH cables going through there...

mine only had the 24pin atx, SATA power and 1 molex power cable going thru. the rest i hid them in the cdrom bay.

The thing is he didnt tie it up together strong so it is left over hanging ...

i had the same problem when doing the cable management .. .so must get it tie properly and position straight ...

could i know where is jalan pasar? i never been there before lol.. mostly go to lowyat place and hang around..

Alright guys, really thanks for the great input there. I will try to redo my cable management after i finish my exams and hopefully it will be better next time.

@mADmAN, do you think i should hide the other cables at the CD-Rom bay?Would that look nicer?

@Doom, i actually just tied all of the cables up using cable tie. I was thinking about changing my PSU soon so i did not do anything about fixing them nicely.And i will be taking out those casing cables as well. If i got the chance, i might sleeve them as well.

Anyway, appreciate the comments there ..Will be doing better cable management next time and hopefully get more input from you guys as well...

Hmm .. for ur case i think u better go for modular PSU to reduce the hassle of managing all those cables .... Tagan and SS would be the most suitable candidate if affordable...

Nah..Modular PSU isnt my kind of thing.Used to like them during the early days but after listening to some problems, i drop my interest in them..

Anyway Doom, in ur GT7 thread, are you using modular PSU there?This is because the cables coming from my PSU is alot and i cant seem to find a place to hide them away from normal eyesight. But from ur GT7,it seems you are able to hide them nicely, not like mine

yes i do.... thats what i did... the only cables that went there (behind the cdrom bay) were the ones necessary to go down to the bottom of the case....everything else was shoved into the cdrom bay

click on the case in my siggy. go to page 3. there are detailed pix of the front and the back of the case for cable management. might give u some ideas.

also, i added a cable tie base near the PSU to help keep the cables organized and stick to 1 place.

as for modular PSUs, in terms of neatness, i really DO NOT like them. coz when the cables are plugged in they look so messy at the PSU where they're plugged in..its like cables are coming out all over the place!!. id rather work on non-modular PSUs with short cables honestly. at least ull see all the cables coming out from ONE point

Yes i was using Enermax Liberty 500 watts before it been blown by lightning strike ...

There's spaces above the top CD-ROM bay ... that allowed u to store those excessive cables .... but it would be a bit tight so need to tie those uneeded cables befoe chuck it in ...

then leave out one of two power cables for ur ROM, HDD and fan usage.

I do agree with u that after plug in the cables it would be a little messy for the PSU area ... .that's one mistake that i over look last time before getting the modular PSU ....

Ic..I should avoid the modular PSUs then. Will try to redo the management and chuck in those cables at the ROM area later and see how is the results...

anyone tried managing enermax noisetaker 2 600w psu cable? the cable is so darn hard to bent and it's too many of them plus more than enough lenght!

I havent tried yet but i do know that those stiff cables are very difficult to hide and manuplate with ...

there's no other option then live with it or just get it changed ...

Ur solution is.................................................. MOD MOD MOD. Slice off all the silver wire shrouds n sleeve it urself with the normal wire sleeves.

Went to LYP today and i couldnt resist myself getting the Silverstone ST56F. And i thought i do not need to redo my cable management during my exam period. Anyway, i just try to do my best this time with some advice from Doom and mADmAN. This time, i tried to hide some of the cables at the 5.25" bay and try to take out as many casing cables as possible. This is my cable management redo. Please do give me some opinion if improvement can be done.Thanks..

this is really how it should be, ..... maybe u just need to sleeve the cables black to match ur PSU cables...

Well, i am going to sleeve those cables but i needed to find them first..lol..And i also though of changing that IDE cable to a black color version from CM as well to match it..Is there any IDE cable that only come with one connector instead of 2?I find having 2 connector but only 1 IDE device to be quite troublesome..
