Sorry bro, cannot DIY due to alot of step involve and if done wrongly its cannot be undone. Alot of steps and also secret to it to achieve stone hard foaming.

just got mine done...kevin's a nice chap and very informative with sharing experiences about the product....thanks buddy for your time

i'll provide a more detailed feedback in the next few days...overall the most noticeable is the muffled vibrations and noise while going over bumps or potholes.....let the foam cure a bit more and i'll access the other improvements then

to the other 3 customers (u know who u r) there...a friendly shoutout...was nice meeting u all

cheers
*
Thanks bro~ Do let me know what improvement after foaming so we can add the details for our future customer. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(sam sam @ Sep 6 2011, 01:51 PM)
got my new sportage done yesterday. did not take to long to get it done
the foam has not really harden yet, but after taking out from the basement, the immediate improvements where there. the improvement below are notice directly after the foam was done

it was quieter, less stress over holes, noticeble improvement in comfort levels  and the car felt more compose. Handling did improve.
For the amount i paid its was already worthwhile for the upgrade even with the barely harden foam

i guess in a few days time would be even better.  Did not have any drawbacks, was thinking twice of doing it at a competitors place but this satisfied my needs at way lower price. i
*
Thanks bro~ it was our first 4x4 so we had to be sure the results. Great to know it helps and improve your NVH level on your brand new car! Dont worry, its a worthwhile purchase since its on promo price still. biggrin.gif If you need to trim the excess,(if any foam overflow out) you can drop by and we will get it done for you.

It feels more solid and stiff. smile.gif

rear beam is under the spare tyre side. This pic you posted is inside the rear bonnet right? Its not the rear beam and not include in the package. But if want to foam also can but additional charge. Have to take a closer look at it first. See you on tuesday.

QUOTE(shithappens @ Sep 7 2011, 09:02 AM)
day 1 comments:

- kinda hard to detect any noticeable improvements in cabin ambient noise...prolly since the car's stock condition is already pretty gud imho...also the intrusion of tyre noise doesn't help with the assessment as my tires are now nearing their end of life and needs to be changed soon  sad.gif

- the ride comfort of the car goin over humps and bumps are improved...significantly more mutted (some might equate this to a more conti feel) even only after a day of the chasis foaming and this shud improve over the next 4 days or so  thumbup.gif

- cornering, both long sweeping corners as well as sharper turns, yields more feedback to the driver, i.e., an improved level of control imho...again this shud improve over the next few days as the foam cures completely  rclxm9.gif

all in i wud say its money well spent and im not putting down the other competitors products here....to each his own isnt it?? an improvement in 2 outta 3 areas above is good enuf for my tastes...factor that in with the unbeatable promo price......wat else is there the say somemore  icon_rolleyes.gif

downsides:

- only one.....there's a bit of overflow which can be seen when i take a peek at the undercarriage this morn.....but since its not plainly visible, i will only trim/cut it away the next time the car goes into the SC for a service or a tyre change/rotation exercise
@kevin: i'll advise u on my available time/schedule soon as i wud like to get my better half's mpv done as well, used the 308 as the lab rat 1st.....i think the improvements for the mpv will be much greater compared to the 308....thanks again bro
*
Thanks bro for the review on your Peugeot 308Turbo. Great to share information and learn lots of new stuff from you too bro. Thanks and hope to see you soon on your foaming session. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Underhill @ Sep 7 2011, 10:31 AM)
Been a couple of days for me. I feel like I don't feel any difference in-term of cabin quietness. The handling, is slightly firmer if any but I can't tell if it's just a placebo. Definitely not significant.

Maybe too early to tell, will wait a few days more and report. Hopefully got to enjoy like you guys biggrin.gif
*
Are you the Waja owner with full Ultra Racing side, rear anti roll ,front lower 4point and front strut bar ?
You did mention the UR's bar is not significant also. Maybe you need to foam the whole car?

QUOTE(kob3bryant @ Sep 7 2011, 11:47 AM)
perhaps his expection is higher? and since the UR installed earlier on, i believe the stiffness will not be as much
*
Yes, with too much bars, it create more stiffness and could probably not let the foam do most of the work.
just my opinion. but maybe there is some improvement over some rough road?

day (forgot already) : ahhh bro, im so frust.. before this i can hear my exhaust if i dont wind down the window. now. i have to wind down my window to hear the exhaust. haha.

ok on a serious note, this thing really done a good job! i barely hear my exhaust from inside. thanks bro! smile.gif
*
That because the hollow chassis at the rear help to amplified the exhaust note thus you can hear it when window is up... after foaming it, it reduce the noise amplification. biggrin.gif Great to know you enjoy the quietness now. biggrin.gif hehe. let me know if anything. Cheers!

bro i got 2 Honda city friend interested smile.gif one coming to do with u soon.. i coming with him.. the other one waitin for review.. anyways..

Day 4 on foaming

PROS

Ride comfort has improved alot! my car now feels very solid and stable going over bumps and uneven roads or even pot holes. My car now feels planted on the road when travelling at highspeed. Tyre noise is 80% gone but now i can hear wind noise only sad.gif damnnnn...ahhaha..

Braking- Tested 100kmph-0kmph emergency brake today. My car didnt sink forward as much like it used to last time.

Cornering and Overtaking- Now after 4 days of curing.. my car is very stable at cornering.. i also feel more confident and safe when overtaking cars at highspeed.

CONS:
AIYO NOW I TAKE CORNERING VERY FAST LA.. tyre botak faster.. HAHA

oh yeah..just wanna say..A MOD THAT EVERYONE SHOULD DO BECAUSE IT REALLY WORKS!

cheers biggrin.gif
*

Thanks got the review bro. Good to know your improvement on your city.
See you and your friends car for the foaming. Let me know when you guys are free to come over. Thanks and enjoy your ride bro.

QUOTE(Underhill @ Sep 8 2011, 01:55 AM)
80% gone? Wah like this I'm so jealous. It's almost 2AM now, I was driving on MRR2 just now for a test ride. I don't feel it yet. Maybe one day we go TT and test your car and see biggrin.gif

Wind noise, go meet Kelvin and do A-pillar biggrin.gif
Yup, but clocked like 5500KM already. Is it normal, the foam that ooze out from the chassis, can be simply break? Inside one mixed with water and it's harder?
*
Yes,its normal that excess foam coming out is easier to break. Inside the chassis is mixed with the fluid and harden more then those overflowing out.
I think you are not used to the car condition since its brand new car, thus someone did mention that its best to drive your new car until you are very familiar with all the noise/wind noise before foaming it. Else, its like drinking water when you are not thirsty.

Bro, just want to ask,

If we done this kind of foam proofing on pillar A B C, then the wiring inside the pillar will be buried with foam. right? so replacement or modification of wire will be a problem?
*
If there is wire, we will not foam that area , especially on B pillar. Normally A pillar and C pillar will not have wires unless some high end cars with airbag ,then we will not foam the pillars.

QUOTE(kingyem @ Sep 8 2011, 03:22 PM)
alright so a week has gone by, for me, the effect of the foaming was most noticeable regarding the feeling of the car, feeling more solid on the 2nd day..  but with a stock blm, the noise pollution were coming from all over the place so i cant differentiate the before and after noise reduction from the foaming alone.. i do think the road noise has lessen but to what extent i cant say..all in all, for what i got, it was worth it smile.gif

now ive done some diy sound proofing on the bonnet, engine bay, front doors and spare tyre compartment,i think 70% of the noise i had before are gone smile.gif) the nagging noise i get now are from the wind and tire..if i do the a pillar, would the wind noise be lowered?
*
Hi bro, glad to know it improved your saga blm. Foaming the A pillar will reduce the noise from the pillar and improve handling and reduce body roll mostly.

Anyway, can you explain more detailing where is the actual location of A,B,C pillars? The package just for undercarriage, right?
*
A pillar = front pillar whereby it connect the front hood with the root.

B pillar = Where it connect the floorboard with the roof (and where ur seatbelt is located)

C pillar = Where it connect the roof with the rear section of the car.
