QUOTE(mydragoon @ Aug 25 2011, 09:32 AM) speaking of shutdown... i think my sgs2 on stock/ ori Sammy rom has also shutdown by itself before a few times. maybe like once every two weeks. at first, i thought i had accidentally powered down my phone but the more i think about it, the more unlikely that i had accidentally shut down the phone... coz when we power down the phone, the phone will actually need us to tap yes to confirm or sth... still, there's a possibility... can't really be sure. all i know is... on a few occasions, when i pull out the phone from my pocket... its OFF. Did your phone sitting in a casing while this thing happened? This post has been edited by waveweaver: Aug 25 2011, 09:42 AM

QUOTE(Fallenangelz @ Aug 25 2011, 09:59 AM) the culprit behind this had resigned. most probably due to the epic failure in their lawsuit. ~~ ehh ~~ I thought apple win its lawsuit against samsung and manage to bar galaxy sale in europe? BTW, any news whether samsung going to appeal against the verdict or not.? P/S - A pity samsung lost after nokia manage to whack apple in their legal tussle and win a huge royalty from apple. If only samsung can give this fruity firm its second blow right after nokia :-(

QUOTE(mozact89 @ Aug 25 2011, 11:23 AM) display 38%, internet 21%, android os 15%, wifi sharing 11%, android system 3%, angry bird, cell standby, whatsapp, facebook, maps, racing moto all 2%.. It is weird why got angry birds n racing moto.. i hv close the apps n kill them on runing services.. Screen display, browsing and gaming are three most biggest batt juice gobbler.!! If you didn't use this three, you batt can tahan ATLEAST one full day. This post has been edited by waveweaver: Aug 25 2011, 11:33 AM

QUOTE(xpresside @ Aug 25 2011, 02:05 PM) if you're on really STOCK rom and havent upgraded theirs a bug on wifi service. each time u turn on wifi u'll get wifi sharing and wifi manager services running even after u turn off wifi. the KG firmware should solve this issue I won't categorize this as a bug since everybody got it once you use wifi. Basically it's one of those Samsung annoying feature (though only heaven knows what it suppose to do as it hits quite a toll in batt juice). Since Samsung still haven't bothered to release any firmware update for us shows that this is not a bug at all. I consider a bug as for something a certain ppl have it and a certain ppl don't. And this something crippled your phone and make Samsung scramble release a worldwide firmware update :-) Just saying This post has been edited by waveweaver: Aug 25 2011, 10:05 PM

QUOTE(benny888 @ Aug 25 2011, 06:48 PM) The trouble many users think there are smarter than Google engineers. These users bring their ancient outdated theories of Windows OS into Android Yes. And somemore these users bring their ancient outdated theories of Windows OS to ancient outdated Android OS version like Doughnut and Enclair where we have only very limited RAM. ~~ lol ~~

QUOTE(heavy rain @ Aug 25 2011, 07:51 PM) thinking of getting SGS2 tomorrow how the battery life on SGS2? can it last 2 day? It can last 4 days (no kidding here) IF you disable data network. You can still make call and sms. :-P ** NOTE : I personally had done 4 days 11 hours before it ran out of juice. QUOTE(mozact89 @ Aug 25 2011, 08:21 PM) No.. On 3g 24/7 the battery will last half day oni.. must prepare mili with u.. Yes, with original stock rom you can have atleast 10 - 12 hours of juice with normal use. Unless you do heavy browsing then prepare for around 6 - 8 hours only This post has been edited by waveweaver: Aug 25 2011, 09:24 PM

QUOTE(basSist @ Aug 25 2011, 10:04 PM) Thank you~ my battery usage is quite high based on this local stock ROM.. idle in sleep mode can last quite long, but once wake it up and browse the web, facebook, foursquare, market.. drains the battery quite fast. If you get around 8 - 12 hours with that style of using then i would think it's normal. How many hours did you get.? QUOTE(annoymous1234 @ Aug 25 2011, 10:05 PM) are u on stock rom? not include gaming right? Yes, when i done that 4 days 11 hours., i'm on original KF1 firmware. And no games. Please note that screen display, browsing and gaming are three most battery juice gobbler :-)

QUOTE(basSist @ Aug 25 2011, 10:34 PM) ya around 10 hours + means morning 95%,, when night time 11pm need to charge~ Well then it's normal and nothing to be worried about. If you want to save a little bit more juice then disable all your auto scoll widget that sit on your screen like youtube, ap mobile and accuwether.com. One more thing, if you had open and sign in your latitude app once before, then make sure you sign out before you close the app. Otherwise it keep on working in the background and gobble up your batt juice for no reason :-)

QUOTE(annoymous1234 @ Aug 25 2011, 11:14 PM) but that would be kinda wasted loh.. i mean if dont browsing and gaming for a smart phone Personally i only got 5+ hours in non-stop browsing on 3G. (my place got quite poor signal hence use more juice). You can get more hours if using wifi or for playing games.
