no problem
cause usually when hamsters get diarrhea, advise people give is that stop all fresh food and give dry food to reduce the watery feces good food brand are vitakraft, supreme harry hamster and versage lange prestige hamster (but recently there are complaints against prestige hamster where users found the food moldy) |

btw, what hamsters are yours?
most hamster food out there are made for syrian hamsters actually there are many types of food that dwarf hamsters cannot eat. one such reason is that dwarf hamsters are found to be more susceptible to diabetes |

Hi All,
I have a question for hamster owner who kept hamster for over one year. Do you feel that you fall sick every 3 months (average) with fever / flu / sore throat / cough ? I am just wondering is due to the dry hamster poop that air born when I clean them and I might sniff in some Appreciate your response...Thanks ! |

QUOTE(Ohiki @ Jan 29 2012, 03:45 PM) Hi All, i dont think that is the cause...i havent fall sick for more than 1 year already...heck i dont even remember when was the last time i fall sick...but its definitely more than 1 year already...still healthy...probably think i am kidding...but i am not...maybe my immune system is good? or i just take care of myself I have a question for hamster owner who kept hamster for over one year. Do you feel that you fall sick every 3 months (average) with fever / flu / sore throat / cough ? I am just wondering is due to the dry hamster poop that air born when I clean them and I might sniff in some Appreciate your response...Thanks ! there are many factors of falling sick....i am not a doctor but i do know environment & food is important...drinking cold water everyday can cause cold...eating durian, cookies etc without drinking much water can cause sore throat...dont exercise also can make your body weak thus fall sick easily...& the list goes on... what i am trying to say is hamster or their poop dosent cause someone to fall sick...first of all their poop is too tiny & its always covered up by the bedding (unless you dont put enough bedding)...secondly its odourless (well i cant smell anything)...and it turns hard like stone once its dry in few hours...plus their poop is actually not that dirty...sometimes the food which they eat isnt digested properly so they will eat their poop back again (yes i know its disgusting but what to do, they are like that)... but i could be wrong tho... enlightened me if you found any info that hamster poop or hamster itself can cause sickness to human... |

Thanks all !
At first I thought its like pigeon poop...once dry the dust air born. Maybe because of not enough exercise after I came here...compare to when I was still in home town... I'll try the mask too next time I clean their cage. |
