what blu3hamm3r said, and you dont even need DSLR, even PNS camera. use tripod will do, ISO 100-200 (depend on your psn/dslr, try not to go above 400 since you are in a controlled environment) it, make sure you got adequate lighting, and keep your fsop and shutter to what you need, not overboard it by f32 and 4 sec shutter
I always tot the rule of thumb was the opposite extreme will yield the best results. Anyway, I dun have proper lighting since I dun use a light box and I take straight out of the display cabinet. Anyway, will test later when got time again.

thanks. i kinda rather keep everything in my room, easier to manage/safeguard etc. and my collections consist of really f***ing fragile and limited (usually sold out on pre-orders itself, and never restock, only 1 time running/release)items, so definitely not something i wanna keep out of sight for prolonged periods lol
also, i believe the temp blu3hamm3r mentioned was the color temp, please dont heat up your sensor, you dont want a ruined dslr/pns lol
True... that's why I have a room dedicated for such things and not in the living room. My wifey dun approve to those things in the masterbedroom eventhough that is the safest place also, i believe the temp blu3hamm3r mentioned was the color temp, please dont heat up your sensor, you dont want a ruined dslr/pns lol
The DSLR sensor has a failsafe at 5mins shutdown on the D90 since that function is made for video mode so I doubt it gets damage easily. I dont think colour temp is something to do with the temperature of the sensor. It's the colour ranges is what you called colour temp. But I'm not sure whether if different heat ranges on the sensor gives a different result to the sharpness of the photo.
