You mean the grilles?

Added on November 28, 2011, 1:15 amAnyway, got this nice and rare Land Cruiser in Ipoh yesterday. Although smaller than a 1:24, it's still a die-cast nonetheless. It's from Siku, by the way. smile.gif

got bro, real SV CF on spoiler & back side is the the kind of dry CF, just too tiny to see, AA 1 is wet CF & when the 1/1 CF apply to 1/18 will be too obvious. tongue.gif

i prefer AA put dry CF on the SV instead of wet 1. sad.gif

@jay8393, i mean under the rear lamp part the netting part, Norev dint make the small hole just like what AA do. like AA LFA 1 also dint make the small hole to make it looks more realistic. tongue.gif is that call grilles? sorry cause don't know what the part call. haha.

Yup Real SV is having Dry CF which Norev looks closer to real 1... But dry CF do have some pattern in it which Norev dont have... Overall I think Norev is quite worth for that detail...

Wow. Alot of SV's! Norev's version is really, really good imo.

jasonist: excellent pictures bro! rclxms.gif Too bad KL hardly have any location like that to shoot diecast.

lkwanz: white looks nice as well thumbup.gif. Any plans to paint the side mirrors white as well?

quazacolt: aiyo bro, don't call me master. lol. but if you feel that this would only be a one time thing, perhaps practicing is quite time consuming but it'll ensure better results because after quite a few attempts, i'm still finding problems when I repaint. lol. and also it's quite hard to give tips because there isn't a "perfect" method out there. cry.gif

Like for instance, some would prefer to strip the paint down to it's metal body while some prefer to just sand off the paint and leave some of it on because it's easier for the new paint to adhere to the surface but the downside is that it could result in really thick paint finish. So that's just one of many steps that require you to try out and see which one gives you the best result.

Anyway, some new adds.

R8 GT - thanks to chan for recommending Mr.Chia to me! Excellent seller and service! Imo, this is the best Maisto I ever had.

I doubt he owns all the cars in the video. All I know is he has a large collection of classics and that the SLR 722 is the only modern supercar he has.

PS: Why no company making the 722 die-cast? sad.gif
