this is how a rich man says laugh.gif

btw.. just a curious question to all 'laopan' here, how much time do you spend to view & enjoy the details of every model you bought? especially when a new model came to your display shelves, old models will be forgotten or neglected? or even keep it in store that you don't even remember laugh.gif

to me.. i'm lack of space here sad.gif so i'll just have to sell some of my collection

No lah. More like what a busy man would say. Long long time ago, I was rich. cry.gif Thing is, I still have some other stuff boxed up. No, not R8 LMS. That was the only one I have. While waiting to make some more space, work and other commitments come in. Hence why some are still left in the box.

Sell? How can you sell your loved ones? sad.gif

I too need to make priorities now and be selective in what I like to collect. Or perhaps switch to 1/43 scale. Running out of space too. Releases like Autoart's LP670-4 SV is not helping the situation.

I find that lately, I have very little time for things like admiring the diecast I bought. End of this year, I'll probably start cataloguing them and give them a clean up. I notice even with my cupboard doors closed, dust still enters. sad.gif

I tend to like race cars more. The R8 LMS is one of my favourite cars. I hope to collect more of them. I got this one just when it came out. Since then I stopped for a while and took a break. I find that now they are much more expensive. rclxub.gif

Other racing cars that I really like are the Mercedes CLK GTR, Porsche GT1 and especially the McLaren F1 GTR cars.

One of the reason I'm more into 1:43 right now is 1:18 takes too much space. Also because of limited budget sweat.gif

Anything below 1:18, I cannot appreciate the car details enough. Atm, space is not a problem since I have only about 4-6 diecasts of various sizes.

jchue: Nice R8 man! Is that the Bathurst version?

And also, hope you find some free time man. Always enjoyed looking at your collection!

myke: That's why I make it a point to not leave any models in their box. If not, surely will get neglected.

I also sometimes got no time to open the box when i bought it. not because i am laopan..but dont u think so, that buying diecast is like hunting hunting and hunting....once u get your desired model, you will hunt for next target, the one u just hunted put aside coz u hunger for next model. just like u hunt a lambo 670-4...once u get it...u really have to hunt for next target like one-77, and when u received that lambo, u just put aside and u dont care to look at it coz its yours already, just that u will look at it when u got spare time.

anyway, anyone still wants SLS AMG Couper black and SLS AMG roadster white i still got stocks here.

I think I'm a bit more fussy with details since I'm a graphics guy. But then again, maybe I'm not ready to go to the lower scale for diecast as opposed to miniature figurines wink.gif
