Nice challenge~!! i m waiting for BBR F430 Scuderia.....in white~~!!!!
I agree a white or a blue Scuderia would be stunning. Well, the red one from HW Elite is not too bad.

user posted image

Surprise that nobody does a good avio Scuderia.

user posted image

If want a white Scuderia, the closest one would be the 16M spider done by MR. drool.gif

user posted image

My opinion is the spider is more sexy.

Errr... That's not white. That's pearl white. Same as the one below but with black wheels;

shocking.gif Who wake the sleeping giant up?! *jchue73*  laugh.gif
Me not a giant. I'm more of a 1/43 scale version of a giant. laugh.gif Look only like giant but actually not.

QUOTE(Lkwanz90 @ Oct 20 2011, 09:19 PM)
maybe someone here mentioned 458, so the boss suddenly awaken
laugh.gif While I like Ferrari road cars, I actually prefer Lamborghinis. But my first love is still McLarens.

QUOTE(geeamino @ Oct 20 2011, 09:48 PM)
haha. yea. probably someone mentioned scuderia and 458.

jchue: aiya...white...pearl white...same la. lol.
Pearl White and White is not the same. Not especially after paying a 1k for your precious. sleep.gif grumble.gif

jchue: walau,so many nice horse suddenly....its poison~
Not as many as your Mercs. biggrin.gif Unfortunately, lost a lot to you guys already. notworthy.gif In hibernation mode because no funds to collect.

I have always tried to collect more McLaren cars but they are too pricey and hard to find.

QUOTE(hacken @ Oct 21 2011, 10:42 AM)
Gee, its a great model. the colour is closed to BBR 599XX. For me its a great model.
Don't know man... From what I see, BBR's look ok but I still prefer MR's painting. The gloss, colour shade and paint quality looks more real in my eyes.

It's not Minichamps. It's by Eligor.

If you want the full trailer, Eligor also produces them in 1/43 scale.

QUOTE(WKWebsite @ Nov 4 2011, 03:26 PM)
Nice Aventador~!~!! ya, resin is nice too, but for display only, if wanna play it get diecast better even diecast is also easily broken. The outlook of resin is very nice to look at it even the paint jobs n everything outside is nice, just u cannot touch it.
Agreed. For me, I don't mind it's sealed as long as I can still see the details. I like to admire the shape and how they can resemble closely to the real thing without having to own the real 1:1. smile.gif Unfortunately, resins do very well in this aspect especially in 1/18 scale. If you can get diecast to display well with very tight shutlines, that will be the best. For 1/43 scale, it's a no brainer. I'll take resins anyday. Does not matter anyways since 1/43 diecast does not have any openings anyways.

I also notice that the smaller the item gets, the more difficult it is to replicate. To enjoy the best of a diecast, I personally suggest to go with 1/12 scale as shutlines can be created very close and intricate items can be copied very well.

geeamino: I get it at Living Depot (http://www.thelivingdepot.com.my/).
Thanks mate for the info. Will check it out.

Ikea is your best friend. Look around for some cabinets. I use the sponge type door sealant and stick it around the swing doors of the billy cabinet meant to keep wind and dust from seeping inside. Not full proof but still better than not having anything.

I'm no gamer but I believe that video was shot in Romania at the famous Transfăgărășan road. Touted as the best road in the world for drivers.

Top Gear had an episode in Season 14 (1st episode) that showed the Aston Martin DBS Volante, Ferrari California and the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder driven on that road.

this is how a rich man says  laugh.gif
No lah. More like what a busy man would say. Long long time ago, I was rich. cry.gif Thing is, I still have some other stuff boxed up. No, not R8 LMS. That was the only one I have. While waiting to make some more space, work and other commitments come in. Hence why some are still left in the box.

QUOTE(myke @ Nov 24 2011, 11:40 AM)
btw.. just a curious question to all 'laopan' here, how much time do you spend to view & enjoy the details of every model you bought? especially when a new model came to your display shelves, old models will be forgotten or neglected? or even keep it in store that you don't even remember  laugh.gif

to me.. i'm lack of space here  sad.gif so i'll just have to sell some of my collection
Sell? How can you sell your loved ones? sad.gif

I too need to make priorities now and be selective in what I like to collect. Or perhaps switch to 1/43 scale. Running out of space too. Releases like Autoart's LP670-4 SV is not helping the situation.

I find that lately, I have very little time for things like admiring the diecast I bought. End of this year, I'll probably start cataloguing them and give them a clean up. I notice even with my cupboard doors closed, dust still enters. sad.gif

Wow that looks kinda wicked R8.
I tend to like race cars more. The R8 LMS is one of my favourite cars. I hope to collect more of them. I got this one just when it came out. Since then I stopped for a while and took a break. I find that now they are much more expensive. rclxub.gif

Other racing cars that I really like are the Mercedes CLK GTR, Porsche GT1 and especially the McLaren F1 GTR cars.

Ps- anyone interested with autoart zonda r CF? Feels like letting go,really not my cup of tea shakehead.gif
Thanks. Why the Zonda not your cup of tea? It still has a bit of Mercedes inside the car since the 6.0-litre V12 engine is built by AMG and the same one used on the CLK GTR. drool.gif

QUOTE(Sauron76 @ Nov 24 2011, 01:57 PM)
One of the reason I'm more into 1:43 right now is 1:18 takes too much space. Also because of limited budget  sweat.gif
Actually, I bought a few 1/43 scale cars and that few turned out to be many now. rclxub.gif The nice ones to get are also not cheap either. So in the end, the only benefit from 1/43 scale is quantity and space. Unfortunatley not less money.

jchue: Nice R8 man! Is that the Bathurst version?

And also, hope you find some free time man. Always enjoyed looking at your collection!

myke: That's why I make it a point to not leave any models in their box. If not, surely will get neglected.
Thanks. I'll try to make more time for the hobby. Surely is rewarding. But the spending part is the pain. sweat.gif

edit - The model is a 24hour Nurburgring 2009 version. Not the latest Bathurst one.

Speaking about models in their boxes, I still have some McLaren GTRs still in their boxes. I need to free them out.

QUOTE(hacken @ Nov 24 2011, 03:42 PM)
I also sometimes got no time to open the box when i bought it. not because i am laopan..but dont u think so, that buying diecast is like hunting hunting and hunting....once u get your desired model, you will hunt for next target, the one u just hunted put aside coz u hunger for next model. just like u hunt a lambo 670-4...once u get it...u really have to hunt for next target like one-77, and when u received that lambo, u just put aside and u dont care to look at it coz its yours already, just that u will look at it when u got spare time.

anyway, anyone still wants SLS AMG Couper black and SLS AMG roadster white i still got stocks here.
Very true ! Sometimes I think the hunting is more exciting than obtaining the model itself. laugh.gif
