Lkwanz90 : Nope, i go search it at few hardware shop and finally found it. It have lot of different sizes. Some bigger than ur hand, some smaller than ur nail. I just meassure the Detolf supporting rod diameter, then go to the hardware choose the suitable sizes.

geeamino: I get it at Living Depot (http://www.thelivingdepot.com.my/).

Me still new to the diecast scene and still discovering good side of diecast and opening parts.

Nick, although diecast has opening parts which is a great advantage, still you display your model in closed door conditions. Unless its a gullwing, then you can display it open. Why, coz for normal diecast, i mean those non-gullwing, if u display with open door too long, the hinges will expand and in the end, the door cant close tight.

we will see.....for the resin 458 coming soon with opening parts.

True but atm I only kept the hood up for photo taking or for guest to go ga-ga over it... hehe.. Anyway, I still have not remove the SLS from the box yet. The two other JDMs are occupying the garage so the conti stays in the shipping container wink.gif

As for resin, I did notice it's really high on details as well as high in price... therefore for now, every one resin I could get me 3 diecast first smile.gif

Thanks for the photo. Did you get the glass from outside or from Ikea themselves?

Nice Aventador~!~!! ya, resin is nice too, but for display only, if wanna play it get diecast better even diecast is also easily broken. The outlook of resin is very nice to look at it even the paint jobs n everything outside is nice, just u cannot touch it.
Agreed. For me, I don't mind it's sealed as long as I can still see the details. I like to admire the shape and how they can resemble closely to the real thing without having to own the real 1:1. smile.gif Unfortunately, resins do very well in this aspect especially in 1/18 scale. If you can get diecast to display well with very tight shutlines, that will be the best. For 1/43 scale, it's a no brainer. I'll take resins anyday. Does not matter anyways since 1/43 diecast does not have any openings anyways.

I also notice that the smaller the item gets, the more difficult it is to replicate. To enjoy the best of a diecast, I personally suggest to go with 1/12 scale as shutlines can be created very close and intricate items can be copied very well.

Resin is like ur dream girl, u can see it but u cannot touch it or play it. Diecast is like a whore, u pay it n u **** it.  wakakakakaa...
LOL laugh.gif That's the best analogy I've come across. rclxms.gif

Ikea is your best friend. Look around for some cabinets. I use the sponge type door sealant and stick it around the swing doors of the billy cabinet meant to keep wind and dust from seeping inside. Not full proof but still better than not having anything.

I'm no gamer but I believe that video was shot in Romania at the famous Transfăgărășan road. Touted as the best road in the world for drivers.

Top Gear had an episode in Season 14 (1st episode) that showed the Aston Martin DBS Volante, Ferrari California and the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder driven on that road.

sp6068: Hey bro. Welcome. Nice models you have there.

There are several ways...from LYN members, online retail shop, ebay or if you don't want to go through the hassle of online shopping, you can try diecast-empire.com(run by a member on LYN).
