Thanks for the info, else I won't be bothered to read the last page of the booklet that came with the card mentioning about spg.com  and thought that the Starwood Privilege Card is all there is to it.
Just for your info, internet access in select Starwood hotels is FOC as long as your SPG membership is active.

By the way, in order to earn SPG points for your stay in any Starwood hotels, you have to book your room directly with them either through online or by calling the hotel. Hotel room booked via third party websites such as Agoda and Hotelclub is not eligible for SPG points accrual.

QUOTE(zenquix @ Nov 18 2011, 01:05 AM)
not entirely accurate. You need to be Plat SPG level to qualify for free internet (in places where it is chargeable)
Not really. Some Starwood Hotels such as Sheraton Seoul D Cube do provide complimentary internet access to all SPG members even if you are just a regular SPG member, which is why i said "select Starwood Hotels" in the first place smile.gif

Initially i also thought that only SPG Platinum member can use the internet for free but i later found out that it is free as long as my SPG membership is still valid on the day i check-out from the hotel. It's quite tricky because it is not mentioned anywhere, not even inside the hotel room that internet access is free for all SPG members of all tier levels. I found out on my fourth night staying in that hotel when i called the receptionist to enquire about the internet rate. I used the paid service from Olleh WiBro by KT on the first few days and ended up paying KRW48,000 on the day i returned the Olleh WiBro at Incheon Airport. Spent KRW48,000 = RM135.84 which i did not have to cry.gif

By the way, SPG members staying at Sheraton Seoul D Cube wishing to use the internet also have to login like everyone else. Once on the login page, just choose the per hour rate or 1-day rate. The per hour rate is KRW6,000/hour while the 1-day rate is KRW21,000/day. You will not be charged a cent on the day you check-out thumbup.gif

The problem is there isn't enough people complaining and this "convenience fee" is pioneered by European carriers. We don't see American carriers imposing such "convenience fee" because they are very well aware that if someone sues them, they are going to lose and it simply is not worth the risk. Suing people after all, is something super common in the United Stated of America tongue.gif

AA is just being sneaky by imposing those fees under the guise of "Convenience fee". What's the percentage of people using cash to pay an airline ticket online?
And if you buy your ticket with cash over the ticket counter at their office or at the airport, they will charge you a fee too because according to Air Asia, running a ticket counter is expensive and people wishing to buy air ticket over the counter have to "sponsor" their ticket counter doh.gif laugh.gif This was the excuse given many years ago when they were trying to push people to use their online ticketing system. Then, the big brother of all no-frills airlines in the world, Ryanair came up with this convenience fee idea to get away from paying too much commission to VISA International/MasterCard Worldwide and a few years later, Air Asia follow suits too vmad.gif

submit her payslip and she would get an increase.
I believe Vanderbilt's girlfriend did submit her payslip because it is impossible to get a credit card approved without your latest payslip as supporting document. Maybank no longer allows one to apply for their credit card simply using an existing credit card from another bank as reference for months already.

what ? What ? WHAT ? Your kids must like you so much for willing to bring them to 2PM's concert. I have the "This is for my HOTTEST" special album too, by the way. I saw another version of this album when i was in Seoul last month. I really wanted to go but both the concert and plane tickets were too expensive. So i did not go cry.gif These 2PM kids are smiling all the way to the bank man... tongue.gif

I don't think 2PM themselves making lots of money but Ticket Charge and JYC, Yah, the tickets are overpriced for the Rock Pit,
I believe 2PM as well as their management company, JYP get a huge cut from the profit too. The American born Thai-Chinese member alone earned a whopping US$10 Million between January - October this year drool.gif It's not like he really has to work this hard because he is born rich and his family net worth far exceeds what he earns. Am a huge K-Pop fan. All i bought during my trip to Seoul last month was K-Pop albums and my luggage was overweight tongue.gif

By the way, do they accept AMEX ? I mean for this 2PM concert ticket.

That's the main difference between guys and girls biggrin.gif

I don't think they accept AMEX. If you see Ticket Charge website, only Visa and MasterCard.
Noted. Thanks.

Wanna ask you guys a question.

I have an Alliance Bank credit card. How come I cannot buy things online on American merchant website?
*
Some American online retailers do not accept a foreign issued debit/credit card. Some also require you provide a US shipping address or else they can't proceed with your order.

QUOTE(prelude23 @ Nov 26 2011, 12:01 PM)
I have a biggggggggggggggggggg problem with my credit card.

I owned an Alliance Bank credit card. Last night, I tried to buy some clothes online from Macys, an American merchant. I think I tried to use my credit card to purchase twice but somehow the website told me it did not went through. However just now, I called Alliance Bank and they told me I double ordered. I did not even realise my order went through, not to even mention double ordered. Macys did not even send me any confirmation to my email and there's nothing on the order history. My shopping cart is still there - meaning to say I have yet to make my purchase. If you make your purchase already, your shopping card will become empty.

Now I am really afraid I am paying my credit card for nothing. What should I do now? sad.gif Any advice?
*
Write Macys an email and they shall get back to you in a few days. All Macys needs to do is to reverse the payment and that's it.

Guys, if i'm not mistaken, PP also gives you access to the KAL lounge as well as Asiana Lounge and Seoul Incheon being their main base and operated by the airlines themselves, it is supposed to be very good.

hi
im not sure where to ask to this question,
anyway,

is there a prepaid mastercard in malaysia, where can i get it?
need it to avoid ryanair admin fee.

thx
Didn't Ryanair change their policy recently ? Even payment made by prepaid MasterCard is now subject to the admin fee. If i'm not mistaken, payment made to Ryanair using VISA Electron was not subject to the admin fee either but it's all changed. If i'm not mistaken, you need to get the Ryanair debit card to avoid the admin fee.

Is that really important? Oh gosh! I have just requested UOB bank to change my name on the card from fullname (English name + fullname as per IC) to English name + surname only.
*
Won't pose a problem. It's not that your credit card display name is totally different from your real name. My dad's full name in his IC is (English name + Chinese surname + given name). However, all his credit cards only bear his name in English name + Chinese surname and it has not given him any trouble whenever he's overseas smile.gif

if u got 1 cc that exceed the credit limit 80% and u wan apply for another cc from others bank, will it get approved?payment is on time.
*
Sure. Why not ? I think someone said it before that banks can see how much you pay too each month (can't be seen on the public CCRIS). So if you only pay the minimum every month, this may affects your chance to get another credit card too.

Really ? But Maybank doesn't accept fresh application simply using your existing card as reference anymore, not since March this year.
