i found out about something, comparison between bank rakyat and al rahji bank.
say, both banks loan me RM50k, with repayment of 10 years. BR offers me 5.25% whereby Al Rajhi offers me 7.25%. Main difference here is that, for BR, for the first few years, most likely 2-3 years, the installment that you paid, serve purely interests only. It will not knock out any principal. for AR, the first installment, it will knock out the principal+interests. like our full/semi flexi loan type. so meaning, if you plan to settle your loan earlier, then better take AR with higher interests rate, compare to BR. i'm not so sure yet about bank islam or other malay banks. |

Just curious...
What do most of you apply for a personal loan for ? 1. pay off creditcard debt ? 2. start small business ? 3. emergency situation ? 4. not enough money to spend ? 5. pay for car down payment or other down payment ? 6. house renovation ? Thank you for reading & replying.. |

QUOTE(lyky82 @ Mar 18 2012, 01:44 PM) Car loan = RM 900. some bank will consider history of their customer loan..as example if you apply new personal loan with hlb but previously you have special attention acc./npl acc. or reshedule acc. with them..the probabilty your loan will be rejected is very high..i don't know if this applicable with rhb and maybank or not..just sharing some infoCredit card payment = RM 160. QUOTE(nxsia @ Mar 19 2012, 12:41 AM) nowdays, some applicant apply the personal loan to use for their marriage..imho this way is not a wise decision because new married couple will need a lot of cash after their 'kenduri' rather than splash the cash to organise grand wedding 'kenduri' especially malay..in the end it wilk be a burden for them to start their new life with huge debt .. |
