delay from July to Aug to Sept to 21 oct to "early nov". I can bet my ass this'll drag on till end of Nov. My itch also almost unbearable. TW4.0 looks quite ok on my bro's S2, will we get it with stock GB for SL?

Official firmware is Froyo. Juz send my wife's i9003 to Samsung Centre for upgrade but juz to newer Froyo, Gingerbread will only be out Early Nov...

anybody that is running on 2.2 feel that their phone is crashing more often ?

anyway for me to find out what is crashing on my phone ? like debug ?

Not crash often, but sometime screen is off and have to take out the battery and put it bank
The touch screen is not so responding sometime you may type to another application when you slide it

this problem i just press the power/on button and let it reboot/reset..

then sometimes i get the weird no signal emergency calls only.. solve that by putting it into airplane mode then after 20 seconds put it back to normal then it can detect...

screen is blank i get it quite often dont know why.. one week maybe once or twice... sure kena one

I used to get the screen blank off which is commonly referred to as the screen of death or sod. For me it usually happens at night when i sleep.Over the last month i make sure to switch off wifi b4 sleeping n i have not get this phenomenon since. Strangely in the day time i have wifi on all the time and nothing happens. Maybe it wasn't sleeping long enough in the day time.

does gingerbread XKPM bring in fixes/improvements on the keypad? ...i'm still not satisfied with the keypad liao ....i'm using the swype keypad for now (but not using the swype itself, just use the keypad)

bought swiftkey but switftkey also not so robust...

hmmm. but i thought typing on swype keypad is not that nice? i dun really like typing on swype keypad,i only swype on it and it is awesome. why u dont swype on it ?

p.s : i am on cranium rom. not sure if my swype is same as urs or not.

great place to meet SL owners. I wuz here earlier in Aug and now I'm back! Need help, today my SL cannot make calls or send messages, but IE access works fine. Error message " No Data ..." Anyone had this problem before.

I took it to the Samsung center in Gardens, MV and the guys there said software problem and wanted to charge me RM80!

Software error? Are you on stock firmware or other custom firmware? Have you try putting other sim card and see if it works?
RM80 is too steep for a minor problem if your phone is still under warranty IMO.

I admit sometimes the phone goes crazy like suddenly went blank. I either switch it back on or re-position battery.

omg. no way man. I dont think u should be charge for RM 80.

try xsaintzx method first. or try put ur that sim into other functioning phone.

Can u receive call or sms?

My sim is okay with another phone, jz do not hav another sim to try until trow. Am trying it again after shutting it down for 3 hours and removing the sim. Whatdo you know?...the phone is back to normal

All my sms's are coming back and emails....real funny leh

Well at least I din panic and paid 80 bucks to the shysters at Samsung Center, Gardens Mid Valley but came back to check wif you guys!!
