Last time your HDD caddy is detected in Windows, right ?
Now cannot or only BIOS doesn't detect it ?

had no problem w device manager before. only w BIOS and BOOT manager. when tested on another laptop, by changing to IDE mode, da latop (not 4830TG) can detect in BIOS and boot manager. so, definitely not the caddy problem since its working perfectly in different laptop. for 4830tg, no matter if i change to IDE mode or AHCI mode, BIOS and boot manager wont detect the caddy but it still shown in the device manager. sad.gif

Hi,just got the laptop a few days ago,loving it so far.Anyway does anyone know how to enable that PowerSmart thingy?I tried pressing the "P" button but nothing seems to happen,no popups,lightup,nothing.Any ideas?And yes i do have the latest version of PowerSmart Manager installed incase you're wondering.Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks.

The "P" only works during battery mode..

Did you disabled any Acer startup program?
Launch Manager or ePower ?

Ah,nvm..it seems to be working now.I just did a reinstall and woila!Blue light on "P" button biggrin.gif ..Thanks for taking time and effort on helping me out.Appreciated that.Thanks notworthy.gif

if u wish to use the 1 come together with the notebook,then u have to buy the cd key to activate it...

Recently I'm having problem with the WiFi,the internet goes out from time to time,disabling and enabling the WiFi from Device Manager fixes it for a while.Anyone know how to fix this? =/

Let try with Device Manager > Wifi > Properties > Power Management > untick "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" > OK

Atheros AR5B97 .I think Hamachi have something to do with this..after disabling all hamachi networks seems fine so far.
