don't you think?
if everyone has blazing fast speed internet that can finish GBs size files just in short time, also shorter time and lesser ppl will hogging most of the available bandwidth that ISP has at the same time, there are many ppl (those who have HSBB) already download til nothing to download, dunno what do download, also free up alot of bandwidth during that time, unlike old times when GB size files are already very common, most of ppl still can only use 1mbps or slower internet, take long time to download huge file, longer time they're hogging the line, and more ppl join to hogging the line when still many ppl are hogging line, then serious congestion happens lol, hope you ppl know what I'm saying, this maybe not really true(becos there are many ppl pure heavily video streaming, PPS,etc), well, thats what I think This post has been edited by squall0833: Oct 2 2011, 09:16 PM |

QUOTE(squall0833 @ Oct 2 2011, 09:10 PM) don't you think? But... Another thing you need to know that is.if everyone has blazing fast speed internet that can finish GBs size files just in short time, also shorter time and lesser ppl will hogging most of the available bandwidth that ISP has at the same time, there are many ppl (those who have HSBB) already download til nothing to download, dunno what do download, also free up alot of bandwidth during that time, unlike old times when GB size files are already very common, most of ppl still can only use 1mbps or slower internet, take long time to download huge file, longer time they're hogging the line, and more ppl join to hogging the line when still many ppl are hogging line, then serious congestion happens lol, hope you ppl know what I'm saying, this maybe not really true(becos there are many ppl pure heavily video streaming, PPS,etc), well, thats what I think Take example. TM kedekut. HSBB but never purchase more international link. Take it as 1Gbps (I know it must be more but just as example) Streamyx time. 1Gbps can be shared by 10000 users @ 1Mbps, ignoring other packages (they won't dedicate 1Mbps for each 1M user) When someone hog, ok... epic slow down. UniFi time. 1Gbps can be shared by 2000 users @ 5Mbps, ignoring other packages. At this time, greater speed, GREATER FILE SIZE (Seriously, I don't bother looking at non-HD Movies @ file size <1GB except special cases like movies that doesn't have BR version) and then. You take equivalent time to download the same movie at smaller file size with Streamyx 1M. In addition, you're downloading at 5Mbps speed. That hogs the network even more. 1M Streamyx time 1024x576 RMVB (Around 700MB) ~90mins @ 128KB/s 5M UniFi time 1280x720 MKV (Around 3GB-consider small ones) ~80mins @ 640KB/s Time wise, it's about the same but the demand for quality is now higher. That means more bandwidth is used provided that the length of time used is about the same. I'm not considering Full HD movie here. Else it will be a lot more. Just my 2 cents and my experience~ Iff you can understand what I'm trying to describe |

QUOTE(Godlike war @ Oct 3 2011, 12:02 AM) I would like to know too. Btw... Is it possible that my laptop got something to do with the ping? It's weird that no matter what connection I'm using, I always got the best ping to Penang and sometimes KL (if the KL host is optical communication) Means either penangfon or metrofon server. Others server all give me super high ping. Unifi at kl like that, streamyx at sarawak like that. Digi broadband i used last time also like that == Face problem? |

Those who don't have a TV can ask the installer to connect the IPTV STB to your PC monitor......just make sure you have extra DVI or HDMI input left.....
PC -------> monitor DVI input STB -------> monitor HDMI input Just change SOURCE if you want to watch tv.... |
