Arsene Wenger denied he is considering quitting last night despite another traumatic day for Arsenal, who went down 2-0 at home to Liverpool amid jeers from their own fans.

Too many transfers rumors for us this season...We link with all the quality players like Hazard, Samba, Cahill and other but nothing happens..Our magic man Fabregas gone already and wenger played Ramsey and Frimpong in midfield...Last night Ramsey not play well, pass the ball to the opponent....Now Nasri want to leave the club, he played well last night but no support at all...before he got fab who can play one two....Why wenger doesnt want to play in 4-4-2 formation??? Play 2 striker in front?? Our defense was good but not our attacker.....

Of course because Arsene will bring more profits + monies for them at the cost of the on-field performance/trophy and general happiness of fans.

The reason Fabregas go is because ambition as clearly as you guys see from his transfer dealing he only want young ripe boys. Does that show ambition? Hell no it's just hoping for successful future which never yet come.

Added on August 21, 2011, 6:01 pmIf Kaka arrive, I will put Arsene as my avatar and "In Arsene We Trust" as my signature. At least he show some ambition.

You can quote me on that.

I'm not sure about playing 4-4-2 because...

For midfield, center would be Song and Wilshere while flank would be Ash and Walcott.

For striker, it would be Gervinho and RVP. Sounds nice? Hold on.

How about Ramsey? Frimpong? And don't forget everyone is asking AW to buy a replacement for Fab. If so, where would Wilshere play since Fab replacement would be at center midfield?

Not an aim on you bro. Just want to highlight the fans urges on 4-4-2 formation. Peace icon_rolleyes.gif

You're so wrong. So signing Vermaelen, Nasri, Koscielny, Gervinho, Arshavin, Hleb, Eduardo which cost more that 10 million pound each; adding experience at the back with Squillaci, Gallas; bid for Mark Schwarzer (though rejected); promote Wilshere, Wojciech, Ignasi Miquel and Ramsey, offer improved contract for Fabregas (which he just signed a year ago) and Nasri (which he has rejected) and so much more... you still want to say he doesn't have ambition? Yes some of his decision are questionable, some of his signing turn their back at him, some of them flop. But to say he has no ambition is very off. Arsenal has come close during UCL 2006, 07 / 08 season and last season Carling Cup. Not too mention constantly challenging top 4 and UCL spots. But of course these will deemed as inadequate or not good enough for some fans.

tough luck on frimpong eh last night
despite that, i really like what i see in Frimpong
he is being compared to Song and Essien
very natural on the ball, aggresive, got the right attitude, got the right buffed physical figure..
atm ,the fire is burnin in him, can feel the strong burst of energy in him

Song i feel up to now, he doesnt really look solid comfortable on the ball.
i meant, he doesnt seem to have full control or mobility on the ball, he doesn't gel with the ball as good as i want him to be
at times his body positioning seems kinda awkward, sometimes his passes is a wee second to slow
and sometimes quite clumsy under pressure, especially from corners
if he leaks the ball, i fear the worst from counter attack

for Frimpong
As wenger said
He is a victim of his own inexperience and enthusiasm, the tackle was definitely unnecessary, nobody can deny that
but he is just 19,
give him first team football for a season or 2,
i believe i am going to like what he will become

definitely one decent back up period, and one for the future

Just because Squillachi is old doesn't mean he's experienced. Why don't you list Silvestre too as he's experienced according to you. How many mistakes have Squillachi made that cost us?How many have we conceded last season? Does Squillachi improve the team? Ok Vermaelen,Nasri,Arshavin,Hleb and Eduardo is good buy but did he build on that? No, instead he put some weak players to play with those signings.

For goalkeeper position we are settled now with no Almunia and Szcesny as our goalie. Just have to cross fingers that he will be fit all season. Miquel is what? 18? Is he ready yet? I don't think so thus we need reinforcements at the back as clearly we don't have enough able bodies when the season drag on.

And that's just his signings. What about his excuses? What about his tactics? Can't even win Carling Cup, choke on February-April seasons after seasons and much more. Did he try to improve on that? Nope instead just hope for the best by playing kids and giving excuses when we lost. Even our top 4 spot which is his only ambition (and not challenging for title) are in danger now.

the amount of long shots from both sides were probably the most ive seen for a very long time

heard that Arsenal have agreed a deal for Hazard worth £23m. The deal however hinges on whether Arsenal can secure qualification through to the champions league group stages. Hope this is true. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

according to French TV, Nasri deal to city have broken down.

This website made me lol'd dude. If Kaka does arrive it is good news, but Arshavin to Juve? LOL. Arsene will surely not let go of Arshavin, he is deadly when he is on his top form. Come on AA23 ! biggrin.gif

Rilex bro, we are not rich as MU, City, Chelsea. Tottenham, Liverpool. AW hands is tied with the Emirates debt. He needs to balance it. We can't buy players with 20+mil price.

We don't know how much money left in bank. Maybe zero. If zero, are we expect AW will announce there is no money in the bank? Maybe money generated by Fab sale is asked by Stan to finance Emirates debt. Who knows? If Stan is already happy, AW won't give single fucuk to us.

You clearly doesn't have clue about Squillaci before doesn't you? Remember AS Monaco triumph run in UCL 2003-2004?
He clearly has the all the experience but no one can predict with all the experience he still cannot settled with EPL style. I didn't remember about Silvestre, he's already past his prime the time he signed with Arsenal. You can't expect all the signing drastically improve the team, some of them might blossom some of them might be a flop. What do you meant by weak player? Player that doesn't have big reputation? This is not simple matter, even those big name signing also might become a flop. Ask Chelsea fan how many time their owner insist on bringing big reputation player which in the end proved to be a dud. And Real Madrid during their Galacticos era which consist of big reputation player in the 1st eleven also won nothing.

About his tactic, well he isn't known for being tactically genius manager. But even that he brought beauty football to the team and already won several Championship and beaten several big team while served as underdog before, so you can't really discount his tactical ability. And most manager will look for excuse when their team lose, this is not exclusively applied to Arsene Wenger only. Still i don't think apart from Alex Ferguson, there are better all-around manager than Arsene Wenger at this period. Jose Mourinho might have that tactically genius trait, but he isn't loyal. Just look how he left Inter after he deemed he has achieve everything with the club, i think he care about his achievement and CV much more that the club he managed.
