Hi S2S

Instead of looking at MY portfolio maybe you should answer these questions

a) Age
b) Retiremnet
c) Targets between now and retiremnet
d) Risk appetite
e) Present evaluation of the mkt

Its not wrong to have a low risk appetite. Only means you may win/lose less!
*
a. Thirties
b. By 40 ?
c. 2 million
d. very low

alo bro.
repeat after moi... STOCK MARKET PRICE <> REAL VALUE
stock market price = willing buyer/seller - it's a HUGE bid/offer stage
it can have NOTHING to do with reality and fundamental values.

Thank gawd else how to buy value heheh... coz i suck at trading tongue.gif

Yes, its still underwater....thats the stock market.
Hoepfully with a REIT, you still get those dividends to alleviate the pain...

Let assume low risk appetite return of investment averaging 6% compounded return. You will need to have 1.1 millions to invest today to get to 2 millions in 10 years hmm.gif
Make sure you check your figure correctly or it will become a distance dream. blush.gif

Or you could be a millionaire already today notworthy.gif sure can reach 2 millions in 10 years base on low risk appetite, assuming not further topping up.

assuming 6% return, you need about RM200k.

But my spider sense tells me that it's never wise to dump 100% of money into REIT , as if the stock market crash ... no eye to see

Just "seefood" here hehe, no sifu. Hope the below helps

Take $1K *12 months = $12K
Then divide $12K by your investments' average compounded pa % returns

eg. i expect my total investments' (FD, Bonds, Stocks, REITs, Properties, Gold, etc.) average compounded returns to be 8%pa
thus, $12k/8% = $150K

If U plonk all in FD, U'd need like $12K / 4% = $300K in FD
Oki dokie?
