If I can get my CIMB CC on 14nov, and do a rm9k CIMB BT on the same day, would I be on time to beat my MBB2Amex due date of 23nov?
If let say by 23-nov the BT amt is not in my MBB2AMex Account and I bank in rm9k cash in MBB2AMex to avoid interest, what happen to the BT amount which come in later?
Would I have a credit of rm9k in my MBB2Amex account or the BT would not go thru becos it is not transfered before the due date as stated in the BT application form?

Should not be a problem. Fax to CIMB on 14th in the morning and most probably it would be approved by 18th and payment received on MBB side by 23rd.

But say there was a delay, and if you pay your MBB account RM9K, CIMB BT aplication still stands, therefore when CIMB approve your application and make payment, you'll have RM9K credit in your MBB account.

What you should do is (1) on 18th or 19th call CIMB CS to confirm if BT application approve. (2) If approve, ask when they make payment, allow 2 working days for it to be shown at MBB side.

Did my 1st BT at MBB branch from OCBC CC. According to the officer you cannot do BT btw MBB2 cards (Amex/Visa/Master). Can only do internal BT for MBB2 cards with other MBB CCs.

Same here.
CIMB CS had removed 7 fully-settled BT accounts and 3 cancelled credit card accounts from my account summary.

Did my 2nd BT at CIMB from MBB2AMex CC on 15/11 3pm. Officer said should be able to make it for the due date on 23/11. Anyway will pay up the min amount on 23/11. Anyone know whether MBB gives grace period on CC payment?

When did you send in your BT and when is your MBB CC payment due date? You send by fax or email?

Maybank -> Incredible 12 months 0% BT, would they extend?? tongue.gif (I seriously hope they will)

Public -> 6 months 0%, what about them??

Comment?? or any insider news?? tongue.gif

i just want to ask, is BT 0% really means 0%? I don't understand 0% when it's charged to your credit card and you'll be compounded with interest on the CC instead

Sorry, haven't tried BT before ... new to these -.-

Yes, 0% for X months is really no extra or hidden charge. But make sure you pay that full amount and on time, every month.

But it is applicable to:
CIMB - 6 months
MBB - 12 months

If you choose other periods/months, there maybe some charges. Read the fine print T&C properly.

One of my readers at my blog just highlighted to me that RHB is now offering 0% Balance Transfer until 31st January 2012. Excellent since MBB and CIMB promo expiring soon. But if RHB is offring 0% BT, I got a strong feeling CIMB will also extend their promo. Click link below to RHB site

But the T&C is for 12,18,24 month
For 6-month BT with RHB, also will be divided equally per month ?

Yah, as of date I also cannot find the the terms and conditions for the 0% 6 Months RHB BT. But according to the person who highlighted about the RHB BT at my blog, it works like MBB method, i.e. equal payment.

I have updated my blog with the comments by my reader where he explained about the payment method and also the time frame for RHB to approve his application, click here to read RHB 0% 6 Months Balance Transfer
