those models have all the four android buttons because they are specific versions made for google/US carriers.
models for the general market have less buttons to have that *ehem* simple iphone outlook.

that make its less android like..
and then make it less user-friendly just like iPhone.. brows.gif

i was looking this up and apparently, if u press and hold on the menu button on the s2, u get the search function.
and if u double press the home key, u get a voice command function.

1. Brand : Samsung/LG
2. Budget. 1.2-1.4k
3. Specs. Standard specs with the price stated above.
4. What do I need : A good phone that can last me at least 2 years.

I have a 2 models in my mind, 1 is Optimus 2x and another one is Galaxy S Plus.
1 - Is 2.3.3 available for O2x in Malaysia ?
2 - I seem to see alot of users reporting that their O2x is having lots of problem i.e crashing, random rebooting. Does the phone really suck that bad ?
3 - Is the Galaxy S Plus a good buy compared to the O2x ? Coz both have almost the same price for AP sets.
4 - I've watched some videos on the net about Galaxy S Plus and the phone is really snappy and smooth, while the O2x is kinda choppy and lagging in the UI and browsing, which is why I'm asking whether the 2.3.3 is available for O2x in Malaysia or not.

That's all.

HTC Desire S/HTC Incredible S should do you better than both of these phones.

In my humble opinion, the 400mhz boost isn't really useful as apps already run fluidly on the Q8255. If you don't intend to multitask its just an ego booster.

o2x is honestly a very underrated phone despite its specs. But the problems it comes with should be why its so underrated and rarely recommended here.

The Incredible S on the other hand should do much better than either of these phones. Whilst still retaining a good build quality, it still provides good specs and a very populated community.

You're obviously disregarding my first post.

Read the first post then ask again. I don't mean to be rude but I have stressed this many times again. With no requirements or specification I/the forumers cannot do anything.

Otherwise get Huawei X5 @ 8xx

P.S. I notice your pick are all the small phone with keyboard. Is it a must?

Thanks too, will check it out.

Oh and 1 more question, is it good to buy a single-core phone now ? I mean, more and more dual-core phones are being released from lots of major companies, will these single-cored phones will be outdated ? i.e not getting more updates.
