There's no need for kernel downgrade or whatsoever.. just flash stock 2.3.3 from sony ericsson(comes with stock kernel and baseband .71, root it and to unlock click plugin>Unlock X10 and follow the instructions that's all)

Went to SE center just now to ask about my de-pressed and soft back button. Was told it is not under warranty. If want to change, need to change the whole housing, RM3xx. Warranty only applies if button doesn't function.

No, downgrading the kernel alone is easier if you wish to preserve your current system without losing any data.

For me the safest is using Flashtool 0.4.2 from http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/
and flash the below file. Global Generic: http://www.multiupload.com/JEXUAHAZTL This post has been edited by Eugene91: Nov 6 2011, 08:15 PM |

QUOTE(xtreme_paranoid @ Nov 6 2011, 07:08 PM) safest way to update x10 firmware by using seus? Look, nothing will happen if you lost your internet connection apart from the download stopping at where it is currently, but if the download is already done, internet connection doesn't matter, what matters is your USB cable. Make sure it's tight, not loose, just don't accidentally kicked the USB while it's installing the firmware, because you're going to waste your time since you will have to wait for it to restart the installation process. Installing firmwares takes few minutes, but time is precious no?what happen if in the middle process, my internet connection disconnected? nothing happen? my niece currently having firmware 1.6.. i want to help him to upgrade the firmware latest now 2.3.3 right? And yes, even if your USB is disconnected while it's installing, nothing will happen. Just do it again, unless if you disconnected your USB while unlocking the bootloader, then yes. Your phone might be bricked. |

Uh, it is old. This phone came in 2 years ago, it's old. Plus, SE released tons of new phones this year, making it waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy older.

Same from the outside, but not same from the inside.
For you yes, it might be enough for daily use, but for those nerds, high-end faggots, it's not. They don't learn to 'bersyukur', or appreciate the things they have. |
