The difference is minor. The important app you need to install is Common Sense.WB ROM is ok, but I'm sticking with Z's CM7. It's damn stable, liquid smooth, and I have yet to face a problem.

Since we have the long awaited unlocked bootloader, I'm waiting for a new kernel rather than a new ROM, as for me, it's all the same.

QUOTE(arthur88 @ Sep 15 2011, 09:11 AM) after flash to v5c, there is no xLoud and Bravia rite, so i flash the additional file to get these two features...guess what, the version number change to 4.2.1c It's because it replaced the whole build.zip, people need to learn about patching! Darn lazy bummers, use the update-script thing in your archive so that you will change the content of a file(especially build.prop) instead of replacing the whole file!is it only the word got changes or the features also change back to 4.2.1c as well? some more if i enable bravia engine, snapping picture, video recording, open pictures in gallery...all become "force close/wait". these problems occur in both in 4.0.4c and 5c. |

No, FreeKernel is a kernel by tkymgr. It is based on SE's latest kernel(2.6.29-gsomethingblabla), with a lot of improvements, such as netfilter, uncapped FPS for 2D elements, etc.

Install MyBackup Root in your Galaxy Fit. Choose Backup --> Data --> Local --> Tick Messages, Contacts, Call Logs, etc.(choose what you want) --> OK --> Done.
Copy the folder 'rerware' from your Galaxy Fit's SD card to your X10's SD card and restore from X10 via MyBackup Root(Restore --> Data --> Local --> Choose the date --> Check All --> Done. Also, be sure to enable busybox in MyBackup settings(Menu button --> Settings(or Preferences?) --> Enable Busybox Support(or something like that) so that it'd be faster. P.s. I don't know if the Galaxy Fit is Android, if it is, then you're good to go with this, just make sure it's rooted. |

I'm not sure, but you can try the non-root version of MyBackup.

For me, WB's ROM are no longer like before. Man, I miss the old days, where WB make excellent ROMs. Especially the TW Froyo ROM with TW Test Update 7. That's the best one he has ever cooked. After that, all of his ROMs are not as good as before.

QUOTE(Bujerona @ Oct 16 2011, 04:23 AM) Hi guys, You kidding me? Since when an IMEI number determines a phone's model? Or I'm just a "katak bawah tempurung"? Also, have you checked the "About Phone" section at settings? That should help you.I've had charging problem with my X10 in august so i sent it back to the shop for repair since it's under warranty. Took them more than 2 months. when i got is back, I noticed now the IMEI is different. I've checked the IMEI number and it says the model is X10 mini. Is there a possibility that the shop/AP changed the board? Is there a possibility of putting an X10 mini board into X10? And sometimes, they don't repair your phone, they replace it. |

zKernel is a kernel for the locked bootloader, thus it can only be flashed through xRecovery. DoomKernel V5 is for unlocked bootloader. If you flash the ROM(ZMOD-VMOD) while using zKernel, I don't think there's any problem. DoomKernel is just a recommended kernel for the ROM.
@arthur88, I have used Z's CM7 and there's no problem with the WiFi. What kernel are you using? Make sure you flash the WiFi module AFTER you flashed the ROM(if any). Added on October 18, 2011, 6:22 pm QUOTE(Bujerona @ Oct 16 2011, 01:39 PM) Ada few sites but I checked it at Ok, I've tried myself at the website. The website is the one which provides the wrong information. Even me got E10i X10 Mini.http://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis&sub=imeinr It's when i checked the "about phone" that i notice the new IMEI number. I am going to ask the kedai today. Just don't worry and report the problem at the website's owner. This post has been edited by -Hzu-: Oct 18 2011, 06:22 PM |

Like I told you, DoomKernel needs it's own wifi module. So flash it.
And obviously, just read the kernel's thread. |

How did you come up with watching that video? Rooting is something else. Don't you worry, just flash the kernel. It doesn't matter if you downgrade first, because once you flashed it, it will overwrite the current kernel.
As for the wifi module, I have already told you, it needs its OWN wifi module. Yes, ZMOD has that hotfix, but its for the ROM. The wifi won't work on DoomKernel if you don't flash the module. So flash the hotfix first, then the module. The same goes for every ROM. |

No, I don't. I'm correcting what ivan said. He(she?) said he uses doomkernel and he just use the hotfix. I think he forgot to state that he also flashed the module?

Just use PC Companion.
P.s. What the hell is wrong with this forum?! I've checked "Remember Me" damn it. And everytime I logged in, you don't even redirect me to the thread I'm viewing! Seriously, fix this admin, if you're reading this. |
